Its fcking trash!! The mission are boring af and their payouts are even worse. You have to buy avenger and terminal, so minimum invenst of almost 5 mils to get access and even original contact mission from like 2013 payout more than these ♥♥♥♥♥ and they were free to access. Rockstar devs are morons. Even the qol changes cant save this update

only thing i dislike is the annoying ass NPC spawns. You die and run back, just to get killed by the npcs you killed a second ago. so lame.

I would think most people already had an Avenger for the doomsday heist ;) And then it's only 1,5 mil for the new terminal.

I'm actually more upset over the fact that they seem to have ruined the Avenger: I can't for the likes of me manage to turn the rotors anymore which was the key feature to have to quickly get from one place on the map to the other. Maybe they changed the controls, but so far no luck for me.

But if that's truly a change then I won't be using my Avenger as often as I did :(

(Edit): Yups, changed the controls. Tried one of those side missions, so far I'm not impressed. I start a side mission to track a smuggler, so I fly my avenger there. Now I can't enter the hold because... "reasons", so I can't be cool and drop down using the thruster.

And why does my Avenger always want to default to the hangar to go back? I don't want it there!

yeah Ive been press E for hover mode but they changed it to G now. I thought at least I might be able to use countermeasures but nope.

Also, @OP.. it's not uncommon to have to purchase something to participate.. NC update, you had to purchase a nightclub.. Casino update, you had to purchase an arcade.. Cayo, sub.. Tuners, Car shop.. Agency, Agency, etc.. The drug wars DLC was first in a long time to give everything for the business and expansion without having to buy anything major before hand..

But as far as the need to buy an Avenger and Terminal, this could have been concluded in the weeks leading up to this. Missions are started from an Avenger Terminal like the MoC missions are started from the MoC terminal.. can't do those without the MoC & terminal, soo one should have really seent this coming. At least R* made it so you can own an Avenger without first having to purchase a hangar or facility.. saves you a few mill right there.. Imagine if that weren't changed and you had to buy a facility before you could purchase the avenger and terminal?

The only thing worse than having to buy the facility before you can buy the avenger or terminal would be having to buy a NC so you can buy a Terrobyte, so you can modify/upgrade that 8m mk2.. Cause that's 13~14 million just for a mk2 with missiles that have been nerfed so hard, they only hit their targets 40% of the time if you're lucky.. for the record, I was good with the nerf till the price of the mk2 went up.. if we're going to be charged more, it should be better.. for a fraction of that price I can get a Deluxo, fly with a passenger, and have the most accurate missiles in the game..

It still is, but stupidly now it's hold G for VTOL.

Ah, this leads me to believe they made this change so they could repurpose the "E" key.. guessing a quick press of E will trigger counter-measures while holding E will open your cargo bay bomb door?

If only, the avenger has no counter measures anymore as far as I can tell. Seems this is to compensate for the auto pilot features; you can now choose to remove the blip from the map, or... Remove option for missile lock on, comparable with Anami tech. But considering the size of the Avenger that seems pretty useless to me.

Not that bad, but also not too impressive either.

"Only 1,5 mil" to be able to play mediocre missions that pay 18-24k, and some additional contract missions similar to the stuff that we already have from earlier dlc. I think r* is trying to make it easy for us to want to move on to gta 6 when it releases.
