Stealth Mechanics?
Does anyone know how exactly stealth missions work? I've tried the casino heist yesterday and it might just be the most inconsistent gameplay i've ever seen.
We were 3 players and communicated well to take down 2 guards at once or deal with the cameras but sometimes guards that are behind walls just get triggered for no apparent reason. But then when we try it another time, they don't and we fail at points where we had no issues the last time.
It's realy odd and the game can't realy tell you more than "*playername alerted a guard". Like... In what way? Can they hear silent gunshots? Can they hear people falling over when when they die? Can they see through walls sometimes?
Is stealth just broken or do i miss something?

- Not killing a guy fast enough
- Running "loudly" near enemies on their visual range, even behind walls, they might hear you
- Disabling more than 2 cams at once (avoid destroying them entirely)
- Shooting a wall that's too close to an enemy, even on the other side
- Killing a guy that gets spotted from a cam

Stupidly enough, the sound of breaking glass doesn't alert enemies.

pretty much try not to miss your shots. hitting walls/floor with bullets might alert those close behind them. tbh i have a feeling that some casino interior pieces don't have proper collision and bullets might just travel through them too. desync can be a problem as well.

4th point is something i realy haven't though of... Considering the npcs sometimes lean forward a bit, it's possible to miss your shot and alert guards... Not the only problem i had so far but a thing to look out for.
Thx

- Don't be spotted when shooting or meeling a guard.

Stealth in GTAV in really barebone. Even if the guard doesn't raise an alarm, killing him after being spotted will alert all the other guards.

Man if you dont understand how stealth work don't say it is bugged. Just try to stick some rules and youre will be fine.
Cameras will spot you in about 2 seconds. Not instant, so you can run through or disable them with shocker.
Don't use shocker or melee weapons on enemies. In most cases it will trigger an alarm.
If you want to kill multiple enemies you should do it pretty fast, in about 0.5sec. If you don't shure you can do it alone ask your partner for assistance.
Always shoot only in the head. Or press R (reload button) for clean stealth kill with your rifle / pistol / shoker in your hands (not melee weapons! Thair killing animation is to long and can trigger an alarm).
If you haven't complete Dugan shipment setup and your enemies wearing helmets use nanodrones to do double or triple kills with your partners assistance.
You can destroy only 1 camera.
Use EMP for safe entering the vault, recommended to kill as much guards as possible near vault. It will make your escape much more easier.

Now about bugs. There is few.
For example night vision bug (always on) works only with specific outfits. Choose one without night googles. Those outfits will enable night vision only with EMP ON.
Most doors have windows. Even small ones. So it is pretty obvious you will be spotted through it. Even when you can't see a window try to cover left or right from the door.
About cameras as I mentioned before try to get away from their visual cone In less than 2 seconds and you will be OK. No matter camera can see you or not. Just avoid it visual cone.

or even better. don't waste time with that emp nonsense. 2 preps less and you can easily wipe enemies without it.
