Better yet get the VA to adlib some personality traits. I remember before gta v's production they wanted shawn fonteno to say words like "mate" "friend" and he was like nah im changing this to ♥♥♥♥♥, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ etc so its certaintly possible for that to happen again
"I think of a man and remove all reason and accountability"
-As Good As It Gets (1997)
I liked the different main character aspect, i would be surprised if they don't do it again on the next.
If they keep the sarcastic/irreverent tone i'm not too worried about it.
I think they will surf on exactly what we saw on youtube/twitter since the Bloomberg article, people losing their ♥♥♥♥ about something that really doesn't matter in the end, so you are right we are probably gonna see some sexist jokes but they will get the ♥♥♥♥ beat out of them or get shot in the face for it, with or without some buildup. The sex aspect is also unavoidable, except this time from a female perspective you can show the extent of what male will do for sex, and how absurd it is when you take a step back.
I liked Trevor the most he was so unpredictable but a little sensible, he was nuts but loyal. I would be curious to see a female version of him by rockstar.
But where do you start i don't know. Beside Michael i think all main character from all GTA were poor. There's good potential for a refreshing story if they do it right, but so far they've made main character that a lot of people can relate to, with family issue, money issue, but weren't that unique.
EDIT : just read a little about it and it seems that the woman might be a corrupt cop. I like the idea a lot.
I wouldn't be surprised if they went for the group route... So you play the roles of several females within the fictive town. Maybe one being a hooker/stripper, one being the classic uptown girl, the other your stereotypical latina and obviously "Ms. Hood". And maybe something in between as well.
This would allow R* to present us with all (stereo)types of female characters.
Then you simply get a story where one of those gets into issues, which can maybe then lead to them turning to others who will then also become part of the story and your group and as you play along you'll eventually be able to go for female power and overthrow the government
errrr..... I think my imagination may have run off there.
But I'd expect something roughly in this line. Though it would probably be better if R* gave up on that dumb threesome mode.
Maybe they'll go for the RPG approach: where you can switch characters and by doing so get into a completely different story.
If they build up their game framework on this they might be able to milk their new game by selling a TON of DLC which all come with a different story.
It's not a 'trust me bro' leaks, it's Jason schreier, who interview 20+ rockstar employees still at Rockstar or who left, one of the most serious journalist on the matter, new york times best selling author of Press reset, and Blood sweat and pixels ... If someone is trustworthy it's him. It's not some random dude on youtube or reddit.
clear as day
dad issues, gay bf, lesbian, materialistic, karen mom, ♥♥♥♥ tons of cats, living alone, being in debt as deep as hell, sarcastic, freakin depression, sociopath
man, what else could go wrong with char setting like that am i right
and judging from GTAV world where it's basically america but even more freedom, anything goes
