Buying VIP status? SecuroServ missing from interaction menu
I was trying to follow this guide for getting started with Online and got stuck at the step to buy VIP because the SecuroServ option is missing from my interaction menu.

Even worse... I find the SecuroServ location in the map, go to it and get a message telling me that I am eligible to register for VIP but... the option is still missing on the interaction menu.

I tried the various methods to unglitch it but nothing worked:
- Ate a snack.
- Drunk a soda.
- Bought and changed outfit.
- Started a new session (both solo and public).
- Restarted the game.
- Waited a bunch of time.
- And the issue should not be money (I bought almost nothing so far, so I have about 850k saved up.
- I am on PC/Steam, and yes my account is linked to the Rockstar Social Club.

I am wondering if there is some new requirement to buy VIP? Maybe a minimum RP Level? Doing some specific activity?

Any help will be greatly welcome.

VIP status means you need to have over 1 million in your bank account to activate v.i.p in the interaction menu. It's better to buy an ceo office so you can become CEO in the interaction menu. Which allows you to run businesses you own, creates, import export, bunker, hanger. ect. The cheapest one is i think 1.250 million to get started. I don't remember which GTA online pack that gives you that office to start off your ceo stuff. It doesn't take that long to even grind enough cash to buy an office.

Yes since the new update: you can do your businesses in an inv only session. You don't have to worry about cheaters / griefers destroying your business supplies and sales.

Well, that explains it. I think the guide said a much cheaper price for VIP than CEO... the price might have gone up. I think I'll work on some more money and skip VIP to go straight to CEO then.

Thanks!

Update: I stumbled on a guide that mentioned the money needed for vip: 50k. So, either it went up a lot, or there is a bug.

It didn't go up. Vip is 50k. 1mil is old price. Btw once you own the office you can no longer become VIP, cause CEO is direct upgrade.

You have mentioned that you don't see CEO in interaction menu, but nothing regarding MC. I will take a wild guess, you are registered as MC and trying to become CEO. Disband MC first if so.

No, no. I think you misunderstand. I own nothing. I made most of my money through the two guns and hatchet quests. The only things I bought are ammo for the pistol, minimal snacks and minimal clothes. Up until now I didn't even buy weapons. My rank is only around 10-15 and while I saw the term MC in videos I have yet to figure out what it means.

So, I really doubt I own MC. sorry to confuse you.

Something must be causing this, or maybe the latest update added a requirement or bug because I certainly have much more than 50k in the bank (about 850k).

If I can't get VIP I might do flight school next, buy the carbine and smg and do some of the missions that I got messages on my phone about. It should net me enough cash to skip straight to CEO. Nuts, but doable.

Well then afaik registering as VIP has a cooldown. It used to be 12 hours, idk if they removed it, but looks like not.
If you bought the game recently then you should have that enterprise pack too and be able to buy free office/clubhouse, so get those.

Bought it years ago and did 100% of solo back then. It was when Online was first introduced, and it was such a cesspool of hackers and griefers combined with false bans (apparently hackers could do stuff to get you banned) that I didn't feel like playing it. I only decided to try it a couple days ago when I saw that you can now play in a solo or friends only session.

I think I played over 12 hours but maybe not.

Anyway, thanks for trying to help.

SOLO session is broken. SecuroServ does not even show even if you already bought VIP.

Closed friend session does show and I got VIP, but it seems to be quite a bit harder than SOLO, probably because it assumes multiple players. I was dying from a single shot. I could not complete a single headhunter mission, and lost my buzzard every time... money loss instead of profit. Sightseer was much more doable though.

I have not tried Invite Only sessions yet. But I think I might hold out to test it until I have my first CEO business.

Play in invite only session, it has all features safely working and counts as a private session since no one can join unless you invite them.
