Does the Insurgent have "solo" weapons?

Hello, I'm looking for an armored vehicle to buy later to use with friends (we're all new and poor although we have access to Cayo Perico heist now) and I am choosing between the Nightshark and Insurgent Pick-up.

I know that the Nightshark is sorta faster and cheaper and the driver could also fire front mounted guns although they're fixed but what I'm really attracted to is the Insurgent because of its turret.

I have to ask though, assuming I'm playing alone. Will I be able to fire the turret as a driver or do I need a dedicated gunner to operate the turret? And if the driver can't use the turret, does the Insurgent at least have fixed front mounted guns like the Nightshark?

The Menacer has solo weapons and is just like the Insurgent, might want to look at that one too. The Insurgent does not have a gun for the driver, you need a gunner.

lol good luck killing anything with those machine guns on the Nightshark
the proximity mines on Insurgent is way more useful
It is also possible to access the 50cal/minigun on the Insurgent while stationary

Ehhh I checked it out, I quite like it. But it's slower than both Insurgent and Nightshark. But it will probably be okay I think if I test it out and handling is good. Now my head hurts since I have a 3rd choice, LOL.

*cough* I feel like the machine gun was just a bonus. But I wanted to be in a fast tank and shoot NPCs like for example, when I get the Plasma Cutter in Cayo Perico heist. I do like the Insurgent, I just wanted the turret to be operatable from the driver's seat.

Btw, is the Insurgent and Nightshark and Menacer faster than the Duke O'Death?

you'll kill npcs faster using your own weapons in the Insurgent
if you really want a vehicle with driver operable guns then get the weaponized Tampa
or even better the Toreador

Ohh the Toreador is something I'm planning to get next to 1 armored vehicle. Good to know that they're weaponized! But okay I get your point now, we can't have it all 😅 Perhaps I'll get insurgent since I have friends who regularly plays anyway. Thanks for the suggestion!

Whatever you do don't get that menacer, it's utter trash. Main purpose of nightshark or insu is explosive protection and menacer sucks at it.

You can get into the back seat of the insurgent if you are stopped somewhere and use the mounted gun

When you are finished taking everything out you can just get back into the drivers seat

Also while driving as the insurgent you can use your pistols as long as you don't fully armour the windows (which doesn't protect you anyway). The normal windows on the insurgent are not bulletproof either

I might go with this suggestion when I play solo. I do hear that Nightshark is really good defensively and is cheaper and faster, but I am leaning more towards Insurgent for the offensive capabilities. Plus I bet my friends would like to operate a turret lol.

I'd get the APC. Can drive over water, is quite fast and easy to drive, can scale other vehicles (just drive over the cops, literally) and while you can't access the gun while driving you can simply change seats with one button as soon as you stopped the vehicle.
