Being Able to Use One's Own Scuba Gear for the Cayo Perico Heist Finale

Howdy all, hope you're doing good.

I recently thought of the idea of having the ability to use our own Scuba Gear for the Cayo Perico Heist Finale, and said: Why not? It doesn't sound crazy, and it'd give us the choice of choice, which is, perhaps, the best feature the game has.

One can customize his/her own Kosatka already, so you can either go bold or go tactical (painting your Kosatka with a bright color, or paint so that it's easier to conceal at the sea), so why not having the choice to do kind of the same with the Scuba Gear we use at the Heist's Finale? An example of what I'm talking about, below.

No doubt it'd add tons of fun when playing the Heist, and I think it's something possible to do, since we were able to pick our own Outfits and a bunch of pre-set ones on some of the earlier Heists, and for those keen on the game's lore, it won't make us traceable, since it is gear that doesn't leave any clues or traces for Mr. Rubio's wolves, plus it's as generic (as well as the rest of the Scuba Gears) as the given Scuba Gear for the Finale (Black one), since, well, you can purchase it at any Clothing Retailer in-game.

You can already choose between your purchase Scuba Gears in your Interaction Menu for the Kosatka, so why not being able to use the one you chose, for the Finale?

So, what do you guys think? Would you like to see this feature later on? I already sent a suggestion to Rockstar Games.

Did you pay any attention when you first started the heist?

Pavel makes it quite clear (on more than one occasion) that you cannot use any of your own equipment for the heist. Everything needs to be disposable so nothing can be traced back to you.

The "outfits" you are able to select on that heist are all disposable ones you obtained during the setups (usually they are in whatever approach vehicle you steal)

Hey Joe Cool, thanks for participating.

Indeed, I did pay attention to what has been said many times during the Heist, and, in fact, I know you need to get disposable equipment so there are no traces.

However, I cannot recall any Preparatorion Mission where you need to steal the Black Scuba Gear (or obtain it from certain Vehicle). My best best is that it is provided by the Fencer, and I think he/she would be able to provide different Scuba Gears to choose from. Maybe it doesn’t sound convincing, but bear in mind it’s a game in the first place, and if talking about GTA Online specifically, I seriously doubt it should make almost any sense.

The GTA V Steam forum is not a place for constructive discussion, let alone a normal conversation. You're better off suggesting your idea to the trees than here, I'm afraid. Most individuals only know "why I got benned I no hack!!"

The scuba gear is part of the Kosatka.

And if you could select personalized gear then it could potentially be traced back to you.

It just wouldn't make any sense to allow it. The whole idea is to be generic and untraceable.

Sounds good. It would also be cool if they added the ability to talk to ocean life like Aquaman. This way they can help you and you don't have to give them any money.

As others have said the whole idea behind the heist is to use general stuff in order to prevent El Rubio from tracing things back to you. So it just wouldn't make sense to allow customization in my opinion.

Personally I also don't see the need considering that you can already customize the scuba gear on the Kosatka.
