I see this a lot. People assuming because you mod you're a cheater when the two are entirely different things altogether. The mod community has a kind of code of honor. They support developers as much as possible, don't do things like redistribute IP illegally and don't do things like encourage people to mess with anyone else's online experience. While not every modder follows this code for the most part we're all smart enough to understand if we don't we're shooting ourselves in the foot. It's very hard to get companies like Rockstar to make their games mod-compatible. That said there's ways of modding that don't impact people's online experience or impact Rockstars monetization of their game.
The hackers? The people who cheat and rip off Rockstar? Most modders hate them. Not only is what they're doing disrespectful to devs and players alike a lot of times it's illegal. The majority of modders who are legit and ethical think that stuff sucks, too.
but lets move on from that topic.
It does not matter who you affect when cheating, your still cheating whether it affects others or not. Thanks for supporting what we have said here.
