I want to use the Natural Visual Remaster graphics mod while playing online but people are saying it will ban you.. Why? It's literally just textures.

Even "just textures" can be used to cheat. Think about applying transparency to your character. So obviously this would be frowned upon, because there would be no way for R* to determine if those textures are legit or not.

I would recommend, ask the Rockstar Support to get a answer or try your luck. Add it and see if you will be banned or not. Its your decision and your own risk.
My opinion. Everything not official that makes changes or additions to the original Gamefiles = Ban in online

the plane disappears behind foliage, and when he scopes in the foliage disappears due to his aggressive culling implemented and reveals the plane that should be hidden

same as Pilots abuse thermal sight in gta just to meet their strongest enemy the power pole.

Well I still think it's really stupid. They should manually allow innocent things like NVR Graphics to slip through..

its not possible for them to tell the difference between a good mod and a bad mod so all mods are banned.
