A bit more seriously though: the main issue here is sound. There's a ton of voice acting in the game and even though they can compress audio files pretty well these days this kind of data will always gobble up quite a bit of storage space. Not to mention the required data for the whole map and the interiors of the houses & properties you can access.
I agree that it's a lot of data, but then again... GTA 5 is also a very big game where contents is concerned.
Although I definitely agree that it seems a bit much in comparison to other games. Still, in all fairness, those games (Sleeping Dogs, ECHO, Skyrim, Dragon Age) all have something in common: re-usage of locations. And not just one interior: whole areas to explore as well. That's something you also see a lot less in GTA 5.
But I understand the feeling, I have a 240GB SSD where I have OS and work software and a 2TB HDD where I have files, music and games...I only have 300GB free left in the HDD and like 20GB on the SSD. I could uninstall some games from Steam but idk...
I really wish GTA ONline was totally optinially installable. I dont play it so why is it installed for me? I think that alone is like a component of 40 gigs.
gg irrelevant/10 would block again
