It's official: MC security upgrades are useless!

Hi gang!

So yeah... I'm sure most of you knew this already (I already heard about this on youtube and read about it in some guides) but now I have seen it myself: buying the security upgrade for your MC businesses is pretty much useless and a waste of money.

Because of the massive refund and because I got some good cash flowing in right now I figured I'd upgrade all my 4 businesses with security (I already had crew & machinery). Well, guess what happened to me just now?

Because I had security I figured I wouldn't bother to disband after a sale mission right away and instead head back to the next business to sell stock. Yah... First the police raided my coke business, which I defended. And just when I'm done with the defense another raid started: this time my meth lab. I mean... the heck?! Why am I even paying for security? ;)

But to add something a little more useful here... Don't worry if you get raided by cops!.

I defended my coke business but I got really annoyed when it also immediately happened to my meth lab so I didn't want to bother anymore with trying to stop the cop car, shoot 'm, evade cops, etc. Waste of time. So I blew the whole thing up, did a sale on my other business and then set up the meth lab again.

Seriously: if the cops raid you and you normally pay for supplies: don't bother, just kill 'm and fail the whole thing asap. Because you keep all your upgrades, and starting up basically means stealing new supplies. But... full supplies, so not just a small portion. So you never really lose anything, only time. You'll end up with a fully stocked business, staff takes a little while to arrive and then it's back to business.


If you go after the cops you waste ammo, time to evade cops, maybe more ammo, time to take you crew back (depending where you hid from the cops) blech. waste of time & effort IMO.

Blow the whole thing up, evade the cops (don't bother fighting them), head back to the business, do the setup mission again and you're back up & running. And with full supplies for which you didn't have to pay!

This is also wrong.

True, the raid only actually starts when you are the MC president and outside of a building.
But the timer keeps ticking whenever you are in freeroam, not doing any mission, sale or prospect/associate work.

That means you can get hit by multiple raids whenever a sales mission of yours finishes.

Exactly, you can't be raided if you are not registered but the raid will just happen the moment it has you free - many an occasion I have been up the arse-end of the island having just delivered a bike full of coke to Paleto Bay and immediately T-bag or whatever his name is tells me I have to get to the canals near the beach before all my product has been sold.

CCTV and some extra pixels. To me that is worth it, not that I use any of the businesses at all, only as input to nightclub.
