How is this game? Is it worth getting?

Just wondering what the game is like, i have played No mans sky,mass effect and stellaris, i liked all except no mans sky. What other games this game can be compared to? And what are the good and bad in this game?

It's a sequel to Star Control 2, which is available as freeware form as The Ur-Quan Masters. So have a look at that, and see if you want a modernized version. It's not like any of the titles you mentioned in any meaningful way.

It's arcade space battles with a plot, plus galactic map exploration.

Sean before i request a refund is this something the team plans to fix ? I really like this game but if your team has no plans to fix or cannot fix and claim its a issue on my end please let me know, Thank you.

Sean the issue is VERY CLEAR , the problem is your game is using more RAM the longer the you play until it evuentully crashes some games. Its really not hard to find or see, open your task manager and just watched the dedicated and in use RAM climb

I am not saying there is not an issue to be addressed by us, MaTheMeatloaf. However, there are thousands of people playing the game. If any catastrophic issue were systemic (core to the game), all would very likely see it - that is not the case.

As with any mass software release, we need to find out what combinations of conditions is causing any issue - we are looking at any and all, everyday.

That said, and we hope that it is clear from the hotpatch on day 2 - to our participation in the forums here - we are committed to resolving any and all issues that are in our control.

Again, we really do appreciate your feedback on this.

Heya - i'm really enjoying it so far. Problems and all. But i can see how some player will NOT enjoy it. Watch a decent youTuber playthrough ... skip ahead seeing it for yourself. That will show you if you will like it (though possibly give you a few spoilers)

Actually the choice is easy - if you like good (VERY GOOD) voice acting, nice texts and decent story so much that you are willing to tolerate somewhat grindy, slow-paced and dull gameplay then buy it.
Otherwise - don't.

Yet ANOTHER remake that puts graphics over gameplay *cough*New Master of Orion*cough*. Just another cash grab. Avoid like the plague.

Yes it is, its very entertaining, worth the buy, though it has some issues with crashes get ready nobody knows the true cause ( cause for concern ) as devs stated if you will get them, anyway worth the buy.
