Obligatory Boycott for the return of epic killstreak combos

fix: kill combo reward bug fixed

What does this mean? it means your kill streak is now capped at a measly 5-7 exp whereares before it increased infinitely as you killed more enemy (for example epic arty 8 on last cappable base with most enemies with RNG perfectly rewarding you with godlike spreads could net you +245 streak)

apparently you gain kill streak faster by like 2 kills or whatever but who cares now that veterans have no incentive to actually spend the RP they gain on arty strikes

wow looks like another game breaking bug fixed just like the type iii vest "bug" /s

Anyways I dont really care about this change as I'm already max rank but it seemed unwarranted and unnecessary especially for those aspiring to climb the long journey to 5 star general so heres another thread for people to derail (hopefully it gets reverted though)

and in the words of the developer himself "any exp after 10k doesnt matter because you already unlocked everything in the game" *nerfs exp gain after 10k for no reason*

also on a side note even though im already max max rank in this game I tried calling arty on a last base today to help clear out some of the enemies better so my buddies could push in and nearly puked when i just got +5 +5 +5 +5 (i wasted 800 rp and didnt even get pretty numbers showing up on the screen) so i might not call arty again anyways and save up just like half of the other vets are already doing

He is not the only 1 who thinks this changes was stupid and not needed. Also the reason u see satire always posting is cos the rest of us are lazy and he's pro-active about the matter

Fact is I nor other vets are gona use arty 8 as its not satisfying or rewarding. In fact there is a good chance ull be punished by using arty 8 due to noob running into it and giving the caller a penalty

I hit 1.3 million rp not long ago and with this change I don't see that number doing anything except going up

Devs said purpose of this nerf is to decrease amount of arty spamming. Seems to work well.
Big part of the fun is gone. Rip "Arty 8888 coming, watch out!!!"

Refriger Raider you are wrong, it's easier for newbies to progress since this patch. The smaller combos give you more XP bonus than before, just not the big ones of 7+ but a newbie usually don't achieve that anyway, or very rarely. Also when reaching the rank of captain you have unlocked everything required so there is no point getting higher ranks apart if you want to brag around ;)

Well, I will miss the insane 3 digit xp combos, but I can live with it. Actually that little 'Godlike pwnage!!' badge appearing on the side of my screen has usually been more satisfying for me, especially at random arty 2 calls, than looking at the amount of xp I'm getting. I'd be glad if more combo badges were introduced, eg.: for 15, 20, etc.

To stop arty spamming? When there are 20 players and a ton of enemies everyone is still going to want to use arty all the same time. This isn't going to change that. If you are trying to reach that milestone of 1 million xp, the only realistic way to achieve that is by arty.
