Does Satellite Reign 2 have any chance of happening?

Does anyone know what 5 lives are working on atm?

5 Lives should still be finishing up another game they released, but they have replied to posts asking about this before saying they are interested in making a sequel. I certainly hope they do.

They added multiplayer and modding before they moved on to the next game. They did support the game over a year after it was released.

One year of support for a $40 game is horrible. The last update was in 2016. This game still has so many issues (mostly optimization) it's criminal.

I love the concept, artwork, and gameplay, but this game is far from being worth what they ask, and their track record if support has now cause dme to not buy SR2 unless it's on super sale, because I don't trust they will support it.

it's still my favorite game by far. It does not have dlc hell, ingame transactions and I can play it offline.

Not worthy 40 USD? Really? They gave 1 full year of support after its release, but that was after having it in early access for... I think it was at least 2 years. And they added some pretty major features after its release.

Having put more than 200 hours into this game, I cannot say I find 40 USD not worth it. Most games are so linear or copy paste games. This game certainly is not.

A sequel would be some kind of urban post-apocalypse, wouldn't it? And while that would surely be pretty cool, I think I'd prefer another cyberpunk game, but with less focus on restricted areas, and instead never-ending procedurally generated missions in city areas, with loading screens between areas to keep the game working like it's supposed to. And no constant power gain, but rather gaining and losing advantages, to keep the balance while always having things to work for.
