How has epic been bad for consumers recently? Their recent direction has been competing for consumers with better sales deals, free games and their exclusives have been games they've actually funded from the start rather than on-going projects that they've just bribed off for exclusivity.
I certainly prefer just about any other platform, but I don't exactly mind their attempt at competing with game deals. That's a healthier approach than their initial strategy was.
The missions themselves basically have you play as Bradford and The Early Resistance Soldiers, and tell how they formed XCOM out of the Resistance.
Also, Steam Workshop has the majority of mods. You're basically paying either
8.00 or so USD on Epic for every DLC EXCEPT The Tactical Legacy Pack, AND lack of a Steam Workshop
Or
12.00 Dollars on Steam For EVERY DLC (Including Tactical Legacy) and easy access to workshop mods.
Honestly Despite the base game being free Steam does literally give you more than Epic does for only around 4 bucks more, and it's not like you're not just paying for nothing, the Tactical Legacy Pack is in the Steam Bundle and not in Epic's, and of course, mods are included.
This is good to know. Opinions and information like this is exactly why I started this topic.
As I mentioned in my OP. Mods do not factor into this decision. All workshop mods can be downloaded without using steam to download them. It's just less convenient to do.
Oh FFS you are right... This sours my opinion on EGS again when I though they were doing better and actually started competing by giving customers good deals and more options instead of taking them away.
In any case I noticed a new deal today for 9.36€ Which has all the same content as the steam version but for only 36 cents more than the epic. So this is clearly the best deal and EGS can shove it.
The question was about the base game + DLC content. Not just base game.
FFS read the OP.
EGS doesn't have Tactical Legacy Pack. Meaning I paid 0,37€ extra for a 7,99€ DLC.
Steam does not set prices and neither does Epic do they? So how is Epic good for customers?
