번역 관련 문제 보고
I just want to point out that games like XCOM EU/EW and XCOM2/WOTC is not strategy when you are in combat. That is tactics, not strategy. Strategy in XCOM is in the base building and research part of the game. You have to plan out what you want to do to achieve what you want. I will for this reason say that the Valkyria Chronicles games does not include any strategy whatsoever as it is all about tactical combat. Having progressively better gear unlocking for you the more you progress the story is not strategy.
But to answer the question straight out. Will be more then just 5 however.
XCOM EU and 2 (2012 and 2016)
Hearts of Iron 4 (2016)
Dungeons and Dragons since the combat is does actually originate from War Gaming (err.... which edition? 1974 to present)
Red Alert 2 (2000)
Age of Mythology (2002)
Age of Empires 2 (1999)
Its just sad when some of the best strategy games are like 20 years old. Just want to point that out.
Men of War Assault Squad 2
Call To Arms (1C Company)
XCOM 2
Homeworld Deserts of Kharak
Company of Heros 2
Total War Three Kingdoms (... this game could have been so much better atleast its an improvement from previous TW game)
Jagged Alliance 2
X-COM: UFO Defense (has more to the strategic layer)
Silent Storm, and SS Sentinels
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate
Close Combat: The Russian Front
In the top 12:
Fallout (early isocmetric ones)
Baldur's Gate (as an example of AD&D CRPGs)
X-COM EU, with EW (teleporting aliens kill it for me)
X-COM 2; WotC (I get too frantic with the latter though)
Valkyria Chronicles (more of a tactical-speed-puzzle game)
Wasteland 2 (more of an RPG, light tactics, which is typically true of other RPG+Tactics)
Chaos Reborn (fun)
I play 4x strats at times, but I don't stick with them as much as squad based tactics. I've had fun with some real-time games in the past, but they aren't really my favorite.
2. XCOM 2( heavily modified to the point where I dont even recognize it anymore and it looks like I am playing a tactical Mass Effect game.)
3. Starcraft 2
4. Warcraft 3
5. Starcraft 1
1. Supreme commander:FA - Say what you want about it, it does everything right.
2. Civ 3, mostly for nostalgia reasons. One of the first computer games I ever played.
3. Stellaris - Would be higher, but the most recent updates have caused some major performance issues.
4. Star wars: Empire at war - Precursor for a lot of good asymetrical strategy games.
5. Homeworld series - Not the best space tactical combat game, but one of the first. A genre defining game series if ever there was one.
Plenty of good games that did not make the list.
Dawn of War series
Xcom (original series)
UFO Series
New Xcom series (this one).
In order.
Company of heroes 2: Oberkommando west
Company of heroes 2: US force
Company of heroes 2: British force
1. Terror from the Deep. (Its the game that started it all for me.)

5. Disgaea
There is a bunch of others in the turn based and realtime genres. But these are just head and shoulders ahead of those.
And yea TFTD is well ahead of the pack. UFO I dont mind but the Brown Pallete and being unable to open doors bugged me.
You forgot about indie games, FTL, Wargroove, into the breach, troubleshooter, xenonauts, for RTS there are also some but I don't really like RTS aside C&C/Red alert and Starcraft2.
In no order, also i cant just pick 5...
Starcraft 2
Superb singleplayer, one of the best campaigns ever designed gameplay and replayability wise. Also has powerful editor that can create some impressive feats not seen in other games.
Warcraft 3 + Frozen Throne
Great campaign, tons of maps for skirmish, asymetrical gameplay and powerful editor.
Command And Conquer - Tiberium Wars + Kane Wars
Red Alert 2 + Yuris Revenge
I'll lump these two games together as i would call them unbalanced mess that is fun to play, with good singleplayer and since i am mainly a SP player, the broken balance doesnt concern me. Sadly they dont make games like these anymore, everything must be competititve, fast and somewhat balanced.
Supreme Commander 1 + expansion
Masterpiece, massive scale, advanced automatization, asymetrical factions, good campaigns and its not such a broken mess balance wise like most Command and Conquers. The fact that there are people still playing it via FA Forever is a testament how good the game is. Tens of years after the release...
Dawn of War 1
Massive scale, the fact that its a WH40k game, tons of factions that are asymetrical, memorable voiceovers, large scale, squad based combat... its a good RTS game, easily comparable to Command and Conquer and Company of Heroes. The base game has 3 expansions (Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm) and two sequels (DoW 2 and 3).
Original War
While cutting it on the verge of being real time combat, this game was FAR ahead of its time. Like its like merging Mass Effect with Red Alert and Warcraft. Like i doubt any other RTS game in 2001 had branching story, long lasting decision making, unit XP and skills that carried over from missions.
Like good example is that in the second mission (In US campaign) you get to capture a Soviet mechanic, if you spare him and eventually let him go, he will help your MC's friend escape from Soviet camp... five or six missions later. It seems my kindness did paid off...
Stronghold Crusader 1
Another masterpiece, too bad its AI is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and it seems the devs knew it so in skirmish they must give the AI advantages to make them even remotely challenging.
Company of Heroes 1 and 2
Great games, with squad based combat and its a RTS in WW2 and you get to actually build bases. With bunch of campaigns and factions its quite fun to play.
2. Divinity Original Sin 1/2
3. Factorio - again a different kind of game, but a lot of strategy goes into it
4. Axis and Allies board game - hopefully the new PC version will shape up
5. Magic the Gathering card game (NOT PC versions)
XCom comes in around #20 if that...
2) XCOM
3) Pool of radiance: ruins of myth drannor
4) Totalt war: medieval 2
5) Silent storm
