XCOM 2

Too much stuff happening all the time
Sometimes I feel like too many events are always happening. I literally can't scan a supply drop for 3 days without a hundred dark events, resistance camp attacks or some other nonsense happening that requires me to leave.

What's the rush? I think it needs better pacing.

I agreee thay added a whole of stuff. The ony problem is they kept the length of the camapign the same. Makes the campaign very very busy.

Im glad its more to do. Before was boring to wait for next missions. So for me its opposite :)

I like having the decisions to make at that level. Can get very hectic, and definitely encourages having a strong bench to call on. But overall I much prefer the faster pace to what could be lengthy periods of just scanning for supplies or rookies of the original game.

It is a bit crazy

lol you should try LW 2. I can't scan for a 1 day supply drop without 3 new missions popping up. I like the activity though, in the vanilla game there were some months where you did maybe 1 or 2 missions, doing nothing but pumping out research.

Alliens bases every where, the constanly bombard of missions every 1-3 days, chosens out for my butt, OP alien bosses..So much pressure, lol. :D

I'm actually in the opposite camp here, I love the fact theres more to do, the base game was just.. guerilla ops, council mission, supply raid, retaliation repeat, it got super boring for me in legendary due to the longer campaign. Now you actually have goals to work to and aren't just running the avatar treadmill.

For the first half of the vanilla game it's always been pretty busy to be honest. The later half after you've established a stable supply network, things then begin to settle down.

I disagree i think it's not busy enough!

Which is still the same here in WotC. In late game where you have killed pretty much every annoyances the game throw at you, it become a game of tea and biscuit. The only thing different is that WotC throw all of the new things at you right away which make it a lot more busy in the beginning but there are nothing left in mid-late game.

That's just in the first few months, once you've been playing for awhile, it slows down a bit to where it's a lot more manageable. Going for the Chosen as soon as you can is a must since some of their . . . unlocked knowledge reduces your income permanently

Would be nice if the options to double the avatar project also slowed down some of the rest of the game the way you can zen out with an Epic timescale in Civ.

I also love the fact that the expansion was designed in a way that you have to make more hard choices than in the original game. You really need to prioritize between many options of which none is clearly superior but might be more pressing/beneficial depending on the situation. Feels great!

I'm drowning in Points of Interest. Utterly impossible to do them all, or even most of them.
Tamiore Sep 4, 2017 @ 2:19am
In early/mid game rather few points of interest are actually preferable to twice the construction speed boost from the HQ in my opinion.
I would flat out ignore most of the time supplies, rookies, loot, soldier, and maybe even intel.
