Tier III armor and weapons

Does anybody else HATE the look of T3 armor and weapons? It looks like plastic toys! It's such a shame because the T2 stuff has such a cool angular look. Then you upgrade and end up looking like a Halo cosplayer.

Never played Halo (so I don't really remember how it looked) but I mostly agree with you. The suits are OK if not colored too brightly but the guns look as stupid as you said; plastic toys of the worst quality.

Oh yea, definately not the only one man! I actually use the EU/EW ports for tier 3 (and 2) armor... then ole Xcom EU stuff looks sexy in Xcom 2's graphics & I like bulkier looking armors. I remember thinking, after the jump to tier 3 from predator, that my guys suddenly looked like power rangers with the vanilla look & immediately went to mods soon thereafter!!

Another good one (mod) is the Titanfall gear!

The joints could be motorised to assist in movement. There could be some kind of forcefield shielding going on too.

And the light effects too. If we're gonna save the world, better look stylish.

Wish there was a complete xcom2wiki. When powered armor are unlocked you can build W.A.R suits. These are described to create a forcefield like the ones on the alien ufos. Powered armor is a personal shield, war suits are powered armor and warden armor must be familiar to be in the same tech tree. I wish we could had been given advent forcefields or shieldbearer armor. The advantage is you won't be wounded when taking damage, drawback no solid armor behind the forcefield, plastic cover the wires.

They should let you apply skins to whatever armor you want. I actually liked the t3 look, but there should be more customization options to apply previous skins.

Well power armor is a classic sci fi cliche, it means that the armor is partially self motivated so you can wear heavier stuff/move fast/lift heavier gear.

Imo they are the best looking ones. I guess it's personal preferences. Myself, I just dont like old hardware looks (played way too many military games with them, and they really dont look great).

T3 armor in EW looks cool and stylish at the same time.

T3 armor in X2 looks like a glorified diving suit... But that's just my opinion.

The shotgun isn't too bad and the heavy isn't too awful. But the sniper and rifle just look like toys yeah.

They all kinda suck in the customisation department too. Any patterns look weird on them with their glossy paint jobs.
