Some worries calmed at least.
It's starting to look like MS is trying to steal users from steam via gamepass and paying for these patches, which imo, is setting a bad precedent, because if they continue down this path, it'll just mean that Epic is paying for timed exclusivity and MS is paying for remaster/patches.
Valve already sees paying for exclusivity as a bad thing, and I imagine they'll see paying for patches as also being bad, which I'd heavily agree with, because for decades, PC has always gotten patches free of charge, and this just looks like a new shady practice in the making (hopefully it won't be, because it's shady as hell with an open platform like PC).
Looks like I'm gonna have to download the game again and enjoy finishing those last trophies before that patch comes out.
If it's not too much, could you please make a screencap of their responce? I mean it's the internet and all, but would be nice to know for sure that you're not lying MS are aware of this situation.
However this is nothing new, really. It's been a thing between Steam and GOG versions of games for a long time, except now it's happening to more contemporary titles, instead of games from decades ago.
