the area befor the capital drops below 45
and the gpu is less that 50%
only 1 core is more than 50%
btw 9600k/32-3200/3050 8
So we'll have a day 1 patch on pc?
do you think all the "you don't know how to setup muh pc upgrade your potato" people will delete their posts now that the poor performance is officially aknowledged by atlus?
Dropped the res scale to 150% and performance was OK at 70-80 FPS.
Textures normal, no vysync. (nothing is on high)
Intermediate 125% scale I get 80FPS in city area with indoor locations being 144FPS
I went and pressed new game to check the large desert area same settings - and I get stable 52-55 FPS
TBF I just keep the game locked a 60 so i dont get variance and i've enjoyed every second of this demo so far.
Hardware:
i7-7700k
Nvidia 1080TI 11G - VRAM
32 Gigs Ram
4TB Barracuda HDD
find it strange someone with a 4080 is getting 11 fps on here. Noticed 1440p is suffering alot more on this thread though.
Wondering if its a multi thread/core issue or P-Core E-core issue. Since I've only got 4 cores the games probably behaving better since its not spread as thin and has less cores to throw the tasks to.
(I suspect this to be the logical culprit)
This could be why my fps isnt as disatrous on a 4 core cpu because I dont have a theoretical 5-11+ of my cores using 5-30% from the primary core. <--- somethings messed up with how and what the game is assigning load to cores for sure.
Everyone on this thread with FPS tanking incredibly low are all on 6+core capable CPU's. I'm the first to report it on a 4 core so far.
If someone is familiar and clever enough with disabling their cores. Try and put your CPU into quad core/4 cores only and then try the game again so we can try to rule it out.
Edit: Actually i just read into it that if you have a integrated GPU on your CPU the game defaults to it instead of your GPU
Since my CPU's so friggin old it doesn't have one to do that so my game just defaulted correctly lul.

The solution to thread scheduling problems isn't to put the scheduler into panic mode by making it run the same number of threads on fewer cores. The threads themselves need to play nicer with each other.
I've got an 8 core 5800x3D, before I patched their code and after, I went from 240 FPS to over 600 in deliberately CPU-bound workloads (they're not hard to find, just run around the city and wonder why neither CPU load nor GPU load is very high, and tada... you found one).
