patch said 20mb for me took like... 20 seconds to install. the patch itslef was objectively small. the actual process may have made it longer due to stupid bs.

it uses cpu and read/write speeds, read to fetch, cpu to repack, write to rewrite the new pack, this is why it is slower than read/write speed

Im quite literally at the end of the game. Beat the last boss at like 4am and saved. I just need to do the final wrap up and now i have to uninstall like 4 games just to be allowed to open this game to play it for like 15 min. Im 100% sure that whatever this update is does not effect me watching the final two cut-scenes.

If you have that little disk space free, you've got much bigger problems than missing out on the last bit of the game.

I checked the update and.. the only thing they did was _remove_ the accidental inclusion of PlayStation related stuff, LOL. 20mb patch to remove a few files. That's it

The update itself is 28.5 mb, the reason you're seeing that is because the whole game gets repackaged while installing said update.

So why did it download 80 GiB if the update was 28.5 MiB?

The fetching is network-bound. An 80 GiB download isn't going to go any faster if you have a faster drive.
