This game has major problems.
Before you say I don't own it I have it on gamepass.

Now

Fist off my specs:

Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3.4GHz - 4.5GHz
Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
Kingston Fury Beast 32GB DDR4
MSI GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING TRIO OC 16G
SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio
Logitech Z-5500 Digital
Stadium USBPRO
Alienware AW3225QF 240 Hz (0.03ms)
AOC Agon AG271QX 144Hz (1ms)
Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 500GB
Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB
Samsung 840 ProSeries SSD 256GB
Silicon Power A55 4TB 2.5" SATA III 3D NAND SSD x2
Silicon Power UD90 4TB M.2 NVMe
MSI 1000W MPG A1000G PSU
Noctua NH-U12A
Antec P20C ARGB Mid Tower
Razer Goliathus Control Mouse Pad
Cyborg R.A.T. 8+
NZXT Function 2 Full-size Optical Gaming Keyboard - Black
Win11 x64

I'm running at 4K.

I have updated my GPU drivers. I've even flashed my BIOS to the latest as I read that fixed crashing or freezing for some people. It didn't make any difference for me.

I have resize bar enabled in my BIOS. Apparently it doesn't enable for all games. So I've set the following in nvidia inspector for the game profile in there:

rBAR - On
rBAR - options 0x00000001
rBAR - Size Limit 0x0000000040000000

I also had vsync forced to on but I turned it off as it was limiting my fps to 50. I capped the frame rate to 100 in nvidia control panel at the same time. I also turned that off after testing.

I let the game sit on the menu for about a minute or so. I observed the frame rate was in a constant state of flux between 11-ish and 80-ish fps.

I have path tracing off. Because soon as I enable it the frame rate tanks hard. Down to under 5fps.

I have everything else on high. I tried with ultra and very ultra. And supreme options too. Texture pool size is best set to ultra or high.

The game is poorly optimised. Or has memory leaks or something. I'm running with a 5080 so it should chew this game up no problem. I think the path tracing this game uses is the latest which is still in its infancy like dlss 1.0 was back on the first rtx cards (the 20 series).

I don't know what else I can do to get the game running properly and playable.

I have an i7 13700k
32gb ram ddr 5
and an rtx 5080

I have problems especially during cutscenes if I activate path tracing. The game informs me that my RAM is insufficient when I put the game on dlss quality and ultra texture + path tracing and MFG

Some things:

1. If you use pathtracing, then you have to set qualitysettings to high. Higher settings will destroy your V-RAM because 16GB is simply not enough. (design cripple RTX 5080, why not 20 or 24GB). Framegeneration NEED additional V-RAM too...

2. DISSABLE Ultra Latency Mode for this game, It's supposed to be patched, but it isn't!

3. MAYBE the 5000 series still needs some driver updates, as a lot of things aren't going well at nVidia at the moment.

...Another reason why I've uninstalled the game for now. There are so many unresolved technical problems that it's just annoying. I would love to love the game, but the AI, the technology and Gina are putting a damper on my plans. Let's be honest, the game studio coded Wolfenstein, which is superb. Indiana Jones, however, seems like it was developed in a hurry...

Thank you very much for these details, it's true that 20 GB of vram would not have been too much on a 5080. It's really in the cutscenes that I have problems. And then in the graphics settings it tells me I don't have enough RAM, it must be confused with the vram, quite simply.
If I remove the path tracing I no longer have any problems in the cinematics, but the game is much less pretty

There are significant bugs between path tracing/DLSS and HDR/Frame gen

If I use in game HDR, after the cutscene plays FG is disabled. (shows active in the game settings). I have to disable and re-enable it.... after EVERY cutscene.

I just want to play the game with path tracing, and frame generation, without having to re-enable it all the f'ing time.

FIX FRAME GENERATION.

Unfortunately, with or without HDR I like the same slowdown problem during cutscenes. On the other hand, after a cutscene, the MFG is still active in the game, I see it at high fps. It must depend on each configuration. On the other hand, if I disable path tracing and ray tracing, I no longer have a problem in cutscenes. Work still needs to be done on this game
If you get a 5080 and play with supreme settings.....

i got a 4090 (full specs on my profile) and have 1 issue. (4k 55" OLED with 120Hz + Gsync + HDR)
After i turned low latency in Nvidia control panel off, i got stable FPS.
in Some maps 110-120
Other 100-110
Sukothai was not rly good with 70-100 FPS but okay.

No stutter issues, 1 Crash in 50-55 hours and not rly a game breaking bug.
FG + Gsync with HDR runs perfect for me

I can tell you:
my 4090 needs ~80% VRAM from 24GB
19-20 GB
your 5080 got 16GB
you CANT play this game with supreme settings. impossible
even 1440P with supreme needs 15-16GB VRAM... 4k needs more

I played a few month ago with 566.14 so cant say anything to the new Nvidia drivers.
For real. The newer Nvidia driver wasnt better then 566.14. (566.34 + hotfix....)
A lot of ppls have to go back to 566.14 bc of stutter issues, crashes and other weird stuff.

disable rebar (just in the nvidia profile) for this game. idtech games tend to perform worse with it on.

Personally with my 5080 I play in high in 4k, no problem in game but drops in framerate in the cinematics.

5800x3d 64gigs of ram 3600 ddr4 and a 4090, runs butter smooth at 1440p
