Why is the FSR3.1 frame gen not decoupled?
AMD specifically released FSR3.1 so that frame gen could be used with any upscaler rather than just FSR3. The devs locked it down so XeSS and DLSS cannot be used with FSR3 frame gen.

Is this due to Nvidia sponsorship or something else?

I tend to believe it's an oversight rather than any technical reason.

I notice on my Linux system (Manjaro) when I enable AMD framegen there is an extra line added to the config file. Later today, I am going to try adding the line below to the config manually on my Windows machine with a 4090. For some reason native Nvidia framegen locks up my system completely in this game.

i really wished i can use FSR 3 FG and DLSS Q like the spiderman games allow it but ♥♥♥♥ looks like i gotta wait for a long time for it.
Use nukem9's dlssg-to-fsr3 mod instead, in-game native FSR 3.1 frame gen is useless on Nvidia anyway as it not really support Nvidia Reflex which results in huge input lag.

Try this version, github.com/cdozdil/dlssg-to-fsr3/releases/tag/110-fix, It seems that the game update caused issues with the latest 0.121 mod, but this 0.110 version works fine, use Universal dbghelp.dll method.

nukem9 just came out with a new version of the mod saying it doesn't need the bypass anymore but I cant get it to work.

yeah, 0.122 fixes the issues in 0.121, just use the universal dbghelp.dll method, works fine on my side, and don't forget to turn on hardware accelerated GPU scheduling as FG requires it

I tried using 0.122 on my 3090 but I cannot enable Frame Gen when DLSS is enabled, did you need to do something specific?
