DLAA OR TAA
4080 Here and was wondering if dlaa is worth it over taa , i dont know much about dlaa to be honest and was wondering if it offers higher fidelity of aa over taa , can somone shed some light on that ?

Yes dlaa is ai assited anti aliasing and taa is kinda like a blur filter aa technique, dlaa requires much more gpu power to use but the result is crisper and cleaner image than blurry taa. With a 4080 I'd be using dlaa. I used dlaa with my 3090 and it looked good.

FXAA is the blurring type, not TAA.

OP it depends how well they're implemented. After trying both in this game, I've decided to stick with TAA. I noticed a lot more shimmering and jaggies with DLAA vs TAA.

Dude, TAA IS blurry, most people know it, myself included. DLAA with HIS CARD is the superior option. I gave the proper advice to someone with little experience. Why do you feel the need to jump in and pretend to be superior or some crap?

TAA can be blurry, but it is not a blur filter like FXAA.

Personally, I prefer TAA over DLAA in this implementation. If you disagree, well, more power to you. It's your choice. Absolutely no need to be offended, and no offense intended.
Even the DLSS Quality mode can look better than TAA because it frees up some memory to display higher textures for longer distance.

Okay thank you ! I’ll use dlaa as I have a lot of headroom with my frames to use it :)
Its a lot heavier than TAA but looks much much better.

I personally also find TAA to look better in this game. DLSS has shimmering and I do no like it. However, I cannot fathom with the sharpening setting for TAA. At 50 looks a bit blurry. At 100 it seems to be too much. What setting did you use for sharpening with TAA. Also, do you keep Film Grain on? I found that in Sukhothai, using sharpening with film grain can look really grainy. Thanks!
Yep, on a 3080 10gb: for the first time, I ended up using taa rather than dlaa. There were too many artifacts on textures. Maybe it's a vram amount issue that leads to this.

DLAA is supposed to be a better TAA.
Like DLSS is supposed to be better than linear upscale.
In practice, it's working bad and you are better without any fancy features...
In practice, disabling in game and forcing with GPU driver is better...
If you knew how much i don't care about DLSS4...
