Yep, I'm playing on GP and I'll pick it up on Steam when its on Sale :D
I heard about these "XBOX" players, i thought they were extinct. I kid! Enjoy.
but also PC specs, i'm beyond these specs, this is what happens when game dev's focus on the wrong things.
Todd Howard did it again, he focused on visual feudality over making the game work on various PC builds.
All I'm saying is no teen would say Indiana Jones is their favourite movie or even a movie they would choose to watch now days
And it is nowhere near other games that were launched on GP and got lots more players like stalker 2, having 4 to 5 times the players on steam right now, and even Fallout 76 has the same to more as well,
I'm not saying it is a bad game I'm just saying why I think there are not many players on this, and im probably not right, with not being some video game guru. just my thoughts.
2. 70€
3. No FSR 3.1 or XeSS 2.0 Upscaling
4. No FSR3 Frame Generation
5. No AMD Anti-Lag 2
6. No RT/PT options exposed for non RTX GPUs (nonsense)
7. Extremely poor vegetation LODs
8. Extremely poor shadows resolution in raster
9. Extremely poor shadow draw distance in raster
10. Early release bugs: like the 30 fps animation rates for a lot of stuff
You're right, he tried to justify 30FPS with starfield. This game runs much better than starfield at launch, with lots more options.
Todd howard doesn’t exactly have much to do with the direction of this game
Kinda weird, AMD had the deal with starfield and now Nvidia has the deal with this game. Wish they'd service both better.
Oh HELL no. This game scratches the itch that every older millennial carries: Like Robocop Rogue City, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle feels like a grown up version of your favorite memories watching VHS tapes from childhood. It's fun as hell, and it capitalizes on nostalgia in a way that no medium aside from videogames at this point could ever hope to achieve amongst its target demographic. Which is older millennials.
Now, the big question is, does it appeal to anyone outside of its target demographic? Eh... maybe? If you're you're gen-z, then the Great Circle definitely taps into Tomb Raider/Uncharted territory enough to keep the younger audience satisfied. Although, enough to justify spending $70 at launch? Probably not.
Honestly, my guess is this is going to be more of a long-term sleeper hit rather than a game that crushes records with its debut only to be quickly forgotten in the months to come.
ha ha, yeah the marketing on this thing really wasn't there, i ended hearing about it through anti woke youtube channels as that's all i ever listen to.
funny thing is the game isn't even that woke, it's circa 2010 woke, so it does exist but it's not that bad in comparison to most 95% of games that come out these days.
but yeah, i didn't hear about any trailers or much of any hype for the game, i did hear about the PC specs though and that's hurting it more than the woke factor funny enough.
The only way you can justify it is having at least 20 hours of content for the dollar to hour ratio. Me on my third playthrough of it (SH2 remake) is due to the game having eight possible endings, that and since it uses Unreal 5 engine, I can see some things for it being moddable, which also extends the longevity outside of playing it once through then again maybe 3-6 months later.
Its crazy that a modder has such a warped view of value. You think games should be priced based on the amount of content rather than the quality of the content?
Do you know how bad gaming would be if you were in control,
