Performance on OptiPlex with i7 4790 and RTX 3060 12 GB
In case anyone has an older machine they have upgraded over the years. I am running this at 1080p on Very Ultra at a solid 30 fps. I know that many people want 60 fps these days but if you are ok with a solid 30 the i7 4790 is capable, and the game looks quite good with no tearing. I have tried changing the settings and none of the presets lead to particularly high FPS, so I am sure the CPU in the main bottleneck at this point based on the performance overlay metrics.

I've ben hearing that the rtx 3060 12 gig seems to be a sweet spot card for this game.

i upgraded recently but i still couldn't reach the RTX series of cards lol, i upped my ram to 30 and got myself an nice thousand GB SSD, but there is no way i will be able to play this game because i'm way under the bar to play this title.

but if you look at steam's statistics, 80% of steam players are also under that bar, so that's likely why this game isn't selling as much right now.

maybe in 5 years i will be able to play this game, maybe...
in my opinion it's kind of dumb to make a game that requires such high specs because that means that most players are not going to play this unless they fit the specs, especially in this market where PC parts are so damn crazy expensive, inflation will have to drop significantly to make me afford these PC specs before i play such a game as this.

Yep the extra VRAM seems to be helping a lot. Are you getting around the same FPS?

Did you just make that up? lol

According to the H/W survey over 10% of Steam users alone are on the RTX 3060. and another 10% are on the RTX 4060 laptop, that's 20% of Steam's users alone.

70% of Steam's users are on a DX12 GPU with Win 11, which probably means ray tracing capable.

Just don't set the texture cache option too high (though you have a 12GB card so you can probably do high or ultra) and tweak the rest of the settings after. You'll be fine.

I am under spec, at least CPU wise, but it's playable it you are ok with 30 fps. But I understand that many people are not so it you need 60 FPS you definitely need a better CPU for this game.

I've 4770K and MSI RTX 4070 Super. I have good perfomance, even with enabled RT and high video settings in 2k resolution.

What kind of FPS are you getting? And what are you settings?
