Beware> the latest Nvidia driver is causing issues for some
I've been having issues with this game lagging bad on loading the game and different areas in the game.................. After 3 hours of trying to figure it out I decided to rollback my driver from 566.36 to 566.14 and bingo all is fixed. I hope this helps. :happy_cats:

Finally had time to deal with it if it decided to be a pain, downgraded and my FPS doubled. Seeing 80fps consistently with everything maxed including RT at 4K set to quality. Seemed to fix my cut scene issues as well I think. No frame gen turned on. A lot happier with the way it runs now.

Rollback to 566.14, the game performs much better on those. On 566.14 i can run the game on the Supreme preset just fine on a 4070 TI while on 566.36 anything over high and it's crash city.

YEp.
I've not crash but critical freeze foreve and force to perform CTRL+ALT+DEL to close the game. This is memory leak issue, not sure but I already raised ticket to BETHesda.

Try lowering some settings?

The latest drivers are causing more VRAM usage at lower settings than with the previous drivers

I was having the same issue with a 3070. Framerate would drop and stay low frequently even after lowering settings. Rolling back to 566.14 fixed it.

You need to download the file from Nvidia or another source.

Game ran terrible on my 4080 with the latest driver, rolled back to the pre-Dec 2024 driver and now it works perfect. Nvidia need to get their act together

The real issues of this game is nvidia reflex is broken ! It doesent work.
I have 144hz monitor when i put it on i have 144fps, no 138 fps cap by reflex .... so even at high refresh i can feel input lag

NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Drivers 566.36 WHQL

You have to install them via DDU tool under Safe Mode. Do not recommend install any telemetry and tools with drivers.

I agree, I eventually did the same and since then I have not had any of the issues I had before so far. Random crashes to desktop, stutters going from one part of the map to the next in game (load times while playing). Fingers crossed this fixed it.

They wouldn't have released a hotfix driver if the 566.36 drivers were fine...

They released new hotfix driver. For me it works much better.

Sadly, rolling back the driver didn't work for me. For whatever the reason, I get reintroduced to my desktop on the second mission. I get through the museum just fine, start the Stolen Cat Mummy and, five minutes later, back at my desktop. I rolled back to a save in the museum (The Adventure Begins) and not a problem until, again, I start the Stolen Cat Mummy and end up back at my desktop. Having tried everything I could think of and the advice of others, I came across the suggestion here (a good one btw) and thought "that must be the answer!"...nope.
Guess I'll have to wait for the next suggestion and/or update because I'm sure there's an answer out there somewhere.

I am still stuck with the game crashing in the same area ( Underground vatican Wine/Jesus puzzle ). Tried over 20 times for over a week, but it is impossible to progress now. As everyone else, tried most things. This HAS to be an issue with the game. Tried all settings.

I'll be damned if I see a new driver other then the one released on 12/5. 566.36 is the only one Nvidia is showing me as the latest.

You have to manually install it because the morons at Nvidia put the wrong date. Has a release date of Jan 2024 lol.

Haven't tested it though, got so sick of it running like garbage on top tier hardware regardless of driver that I uninstalled it on gamepass and not ready to download it again yet lol.
