This game is incredibly well optimised
…. According to DF. Ray tracing is required because it is the developers vision. Fair enough. My only criticism is that the low system requirements are far higher than the Xbox Series S.

You are absolutely right, the game is well optimized in every way and runs smoothly.
As I said before, it depends on the resolution you want to play or can play at.
I have no problem with a Sapphire RX6700XT 12GB playing in supreme quality with HDR and RT at a stable 60 FPS in Full HD 1080p.

I have a 7700X, a 3080Ti, and 32GB of ram. I should be able to play 4K (using DLSS) at 60fps on high settings.🙂
I just need to finish playing Arkham Shadow first.

I am also playing Batman Arkham Shadow now (~45%) and damn! it's so good! Even if it's just a native game. I with they did a PCVR version, but still it's great.
My muscles were actually hurting the next day after the first session. =D

I get like 140fps with a 4080 at 4K Supreme settings with DLSS on quality.

I have a Radeon RX 6650 XT 8GB, so I was a bit worried. I followed the Digital Foundry advice of putting everything on max, except for lowest textures, lowest hair, and medium shadows. That mostly worked, but I lowered global illumination as well. Looks good enough for me and so far it maintains 60fps at 2560x1440 with static 100% resolution scale.

Seems quite optimized to me..
OhMyDonkey Dec 10, 2024 @ 6:33am
Seems to run fine for some, not fine for some of us.

well , If you cannot play the game cause of the terrible Vram issue error crashed.. it is not optimized for me..

I dont want to fumble with the settings , I dont have a potato machine.. I can run pretty much anything.. But in order to make this game look good , I have to crash :)

This your GPU limitation, the game can be customized for different PCs.

I knew it was well optimized but what you report is even better than I thought it would be.

Praise Idtech and Machine Games! Their games always run great, and praise them for using Vulkan over DX12

The graphics are not that great but the system requirements are through the roof.

BTW I am running it on i9 9900k with a 4090 and 4k monitor.

There was a time in PC gaming when you wanted to upgrade your hardware for beautiful ground breaking games (Doom 3, Crysis, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, RDR2).

I just dont get that "wow" factor for this game, and I really dont understand why the demands are so high. People are really praising this mediocre game? Is modern gaming that bad?

To each their own.....

It’s my personal game of the year. I play it everyday for 1:40 - the exact amount of time it takes the game to drain the headset battery.😄
My hands were cramping the other day from gripping the controllers for so long.🥹
Good times

It’s so refreshing to see a modern AAA game not using Unreal 5 and as a result running great!😊

Seriously? The ground, rocks, grass up close is all PERFECTLY detailed! Other newer games they appear still fake but this game gives everything such a photo realistic look.
