The game won't launch for me at all
I have done everything I can think of at this point to play this game but it just absolutely refuses to launch. Steam shows that it is running, I can see it in my task manager but nothing happens at all. Not sure what to do cause I'm racking up time "in game" according to steam and I better be able to get a refund if it wont even launch. Updated gpu drivers, verified the game files, ran the repair script. Anyone have anything similar and manage to get it working?

I am having the same exact issue. I have tried all the fixes, re-installing, updating drivers, and still nothing. I think this is a larger issue that is going to require a patch

Yes, same here. It takes literally 10-12 minutes and then it starts. Try waiting for 12 minutes

If it hangs on GamingRepair.exe , try killing that in the task manager. It makes the game launch on my system after doing this.
nvm

Microsoft is offering free 2 week Gamepass subs right now and this game is available there. Get on the Xbox PC app and download/try it. You can probably finish the game before the sub runs out. I did that with Mechwarrior 5: Clans and now I'm doing it with Indian Jones. Save yourself $90. IF you want it for your collection, but it down the road for discount.

Same exact issue here. I opened a ticket with Bethesda, unfortunately, their advice did not help, which was to close afterburner, add both the game and the steam client to the firewall exceptions list.

It hangs until the game actually starts 10-12 minutes later every time.

You’re not alone if that makes you feel any better. Let’s hope we’ll get a patch soon. If I find a fix I’ll let you know.
ok just delete that folder name in install directory its creating it there after launching first time
biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i ever saw spending 3days to find it xd

OK thanks. Yeah, deleting that folder didn’t fix the issue for me

Have you found a fix yet?

I had the same message when I first started it, but my drivers were
already a few months old.
I downloaded the current GeForce Game Ready drivers from December 5th and then the game started without any problems.

I have n RTX 3070 and everything is set to
ultra (textures to low) and in 1440p, DLSS, it runs great.
I just asked for a refund, I'm tired of Steam putting out games like this that won't launch. It's too expensive and I'm not even going to try and fix it. It's their problem let them fix it.

Make sure Nvidia control panel settings set to default, game doesn't play nice with vsync especially.
Turn off cloud saves. Delete game save data and try. The last update corrupted my save file and I think the game checks it upon boot as it is the menu screen graphic of your last save area.
