Heads up for fellow 21:9 or 32:9 ultrawide gamers: Modder Lyall has released a mod that corrects the broken FOV in cutscenes. Once again, modders to the rescue!

This worked perfectly for me, I was using v.0.0.4 from the releases page (https://github.com/Lyall/GreatCircleFix/releases)
