Bug - The Idol of Ra

I've encountered what appears to be a soft lock in Gizah doing 'The Idol of Ra' quest.

After getting all the Stelae's, you need to deliver them back to Nawal in the blue tent, however there is a NPC blocking the door. From what I can tell doing some research, he is the delivery boy for the next stage of the quest, and should be next to the entrance to the tent.

It seems like the game has bugged out and put him into the position he is supposed to be in during the next quest phase, where you have to do some sort of fetch quest for him to get back in.

I can't interact with him, or get past him into the tent. I've tried doing some more side quests, going back to the Vatican etc to reset the area but this hasn't worked. My only other option appears to be a rollback of 4 hours of gameplay (due to me going to do side quests etc), which is roughly 50% of my gameplay lost.

Anyone encountered this or know of a fix?

fixed it if anyone comes across it. Turns out he eventually said some dialog like "wait for things to settle down" as if I was in combat. I went and triggered some combat, hid until it I wasn't being looked for anymore then the dude wasn't blocking the door anymore.

Thanks, man. That totally did the trick. Super weird bug, but at least there's a relatively simple workaround.

I simply took out the whole little Nazi enclosure nearby, then that NPC moved away and I could enter the tent.

"doors" are locked when you are "in combat". Make sure you don't have any red on the health picture thing.

Was having the same issue. Defeating all nearby enemies did the trick.
