Feels like Tomb Raider on sleeping pills
Never play this game after playing the Tomb Raider games or any Uncharted.
This game is probably the most boring game I've played in a long time.
Would have been better as a point and click adventure
What a disappointing piece of garbage
Played it on Xbox gamepass so no money wasted but man this is a disappointment

The fact you compared it to Tomb Raider says to me you haven't actually played it.

Because if you did, you'd know it plays nothing like Tomb Raider.

Nice try.

The fact that you have to lie about this is hilarious
Huge fan of the movies
So is my father so invited him over to play it on launch.
He walked out when I was packing Indiana's suitcase

I wanted to love this game.

It’s a lite immersive sim like Thief or Dishonored, not a third person shooter like Tomb Raider/Uncharted.

Your expectations are similar to playing a Telltale Walking Dead game and expecting Left 4 Dead.

Ah, yes, because every game should be an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster of explosions and parkour, right? How dare this game try something different like storytelling, atmosphere, or character development? Clearly, the developers should've consulted you first—they must've missed the memo that all games are required to be Tomb Raider: Mountain Dew Edition.
But hey, at least Xbox Game Pass saved you from the monumental tragedy of spending money on it. Such heroism Mr Impecunious.. :Finger2:

This game is good and it would make zero sense if gameplay was copied from Uncharted or Tomb Raider games.

You mean like the films?

It feels like a mixture of classic Starbreeze games (Butcher Bay/Darkness) mixed with Uncharted like atmospheres. It's a great Indiana Jones game. Voice acting and dialogue are insanely good. It's actually better than the last two films.

Yeah, one of the executive producers of Indiana Jones is a former Starbreeze guy that worked on both Butcher Bay and the Darkness.

Short American playtester attention spans detected.

See Gamespot's "The redesign that saved Deathloop feature". Testers commanded the Deathloop needed more action, and found the slower paced figuring things out to be "tedious".

Too bad that the entire game's unique promise hinged on figuring things out. Now in the final product you're simply hopping from place to place, shoot guys in the face -- and the titular loop is basically a tutorial that plays itself till the game's very end. This process is akin to Hollywood screentesting every Nolan movie, and then cutting Memento into chronological order as some bro in the backrow lost interest after the opening credits to play on his smartphone instead.

Games such as Elden Ring, Kingdom Come, Stalker, Gothic and even Zelda would never make it out of this treadmill alive and kicking. https://polydin.com/playtesting/

That's hilarious.

I watched that scene.

I got my Pops hooked on FC 25. He plays every single day for about two or three hours.

He would hate ̶S̶h̶e̶r̶l̶o̶c̶k̶ The Great Circle.

Cool story but the games ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring
HeideKnight Dec 10, 2024 @ 5:53pm
This game is brilliant for what it is. Just because it is not like Tomb Raider, or Uncharted or any other game doesn't mean that it is bad. For comparison, you can also not argue that Mozart's music is bad because it doesn't sound like The Beatles. That is not a good approach in argumentation.

I am personally not a big fan, for example, of CRPGs with turn based combat. But I still think that some of these games are very good, like Baldur's Gate 3. It just not for me. And in case of the Great Circle game I believe I would actually like it less if it would be more like Tomb Raider or Uncharted, that is, more some kind of action game. There are so many of these types of games coming out each year that the new Indiana Jones is a breath of fresh air.

I agree dawg, this ♥♥♥♥ is painfully boring, the most videogamey videogame in recent years, going from meaningless thing to meaningless thing with abysmal combat and moronic AI
Plays nothing like Tomb Raider. Not sure how you could ever come to the conclusion to compare those two.

Cool. You know that you aren't going to like every game. You know this. This is one of those games you don't like. That doesn't mean its garbage, that means its just not for you. If you can't tell the difference, don't make topics on the subject.
