Bug Reporting Post (Post your gameplay bug/glitches here) [SPOILERS BUT NECESSARY]

I'm trying to collect information as to what kind of gameplay bugs and/or glitches that forces people to revert save and/or start completely from scratch.

I think there is significant bugs/glitches that are cropping up organically as people play through the game.

Here's the format I propose to use: for each bug, we should share the location of the game (Vatican, Gizeh, etc.) where you encounter it for the first time, brief description of the bug, links to posts (if you posted it before either here, reddit, Bethesda etc), and solution.

This is obviously will be laden with spoilers, but at this point it's better to know rather than invest hours and hours of playing the game and hitting and/or triggering the bug.

I have not passed Vatican, but I encountered at least three noticeable bugs:

1. Vatican -- Key Quest Item Missing after Sidequest.

This one happened after the I recovered the Parchment from the Catacombs -- I went straight for the blackshirt sidequest instead of returning to Antonio, and subsequently tried to rescue the Assistant sidequest. At some point, the main quest item was overwritten by one of the keys I found during the sidequest, and therefore softlocking the game when I came back to see Antonio.

I was able to recover a save from a few hours prior (very annoying), and was able to pass through the main quest line without glitching.

2. Vatican -- Glitch on the Pharmacy Book Vendor.

This one happened after I solved the Parchment bug -- I collected at least 10 of the 15 medicine bottles, and I was only able to buy the book for the additional health, but everything else is locked out and said "need to talk to Valeria before unlocking", which I already did a few hours back at the beginning of the open world Vatican quest.

3. Vatican/General -- Photo Album Glitch.

This starts to happen after I rollback the save data. Photos taken prior to the rollback are now blanks -- as if the pointers for the photos are missing.

I'm also listing other gameplay/quest bugs reported by other players so far:
- Whip Bug
- Fountain Puzzle Bug
- Inscription Puzzle Bug (Cannot complete)
- Gina Bug at Vatican Museum

I think a central post that shares all the bugs reported would be helpful for MG and/or Bethesda to catalog them as they show up. It's a great game, but these bugs and/or glitches really hurt the playing experience.

There's an issue you can get from either wandering too far into the desert or almost drowning. It's a persistent blurry/fuzzy vision effect that sticks with you even if you reload your checkpoint or return to the map boundaries. I pointed out a solution in my post, but you just need to retrigger whatever caused the blurry vision and it should fix itself.

That's not a code editor. It's a game console, where you can type cheat codes, list various parameters and change variables (i.e. the gravity strength). It was popularized by Id Software games (Doom, Quake) and is currently implemented in many games and even inspired Linux applications like Guake or Yakuake (quick terminal access). You can activate and deactivate the console using tilde (`~`) key, located next to `1`.

DOOM newer had (a) console. All cheats where typed when in game.
I cant remember if Quake did.

Anyway, strange really dev-console is enabled by default in this game. Nice really. And since its id-engine of course ~ (Physical) key is working on non English keyboard too.

I don't get it. Why do we have to report them to you when I can report it directly to Bethesda through their support portal? To me, reporting directly with the publisher/developer makes the most sense.

GAME BREAKING BUG - The Blessed Pearl - After pulling Gina up from the boat she simply disappear and now you cant progress further reason you need her to turn a handle at the same time as you...
I re-rolled 3 different saves and Gina will still just evaporate into nothing...
30+ hours in and cant progress...

I have pretty much the same problem, just the "note" is shown in Wat Mahathat for me and only when I look at the "The Blessed Pearl" adventure which is completed (according to the journal with all 20 notes), so I can't track the adventure. but the note symbol is show on the map.
Main problem is the missing adventure book "Throw, Tackle and Trip" because I can't get the Bookman achievement (last one I need) without it.

Yeah I thought maybe it was underground and would be available after finishing the main quest, but it's still just floating there.


Unrelated I picked up one of the relics leaving the wat mahathat when youre racing against time, and now I am at 23/24 relics. The marker above the map indicates it is underground in wat mahathat but when I go underground the marker doesn't update. I have gone underground in all other map areas to make sure.

Big RIP to a 100% playthrough.

I had the same issue in my game but that one is actually a red herring. It doesnt exist. In my game there was a small floating flame at that location but no book. Its actually just a bug. Continue on with your game as normal. Make sure to return to tongdong because he has the books you need to buy as well as the books at the Underground Boxing. The issue that arose for me is a note in the Iraq level that vanished when I got hit by a Nazi while holding it before I could put it in my inventory and a note for The Blessed mission in Voss Camp on a table next to the showers that has vanished on me. Its preventing me from getting 100%. I also didnt get the credit for picking up #50 Ancient Artifact in Iraq so that achievement wont pop for me either. I have all achievements except for those 2. Very upsetting to say the least. 40 hours into the game.
