Indiana Jones and The Great Circle closing suddenly, repeatedly
About every 30 minutes or so of playing the new Indiana Jones game on Game Pass, the game will inextricably crash to desktop. No error message, no freezing first, no log or data dump. Just an immediate closing of the game window back to the Xbox App. This has happened 3 times now within the last 2 hours of play.

Has this happened to anyone else yet? It's very strange, I've not really experienced anything like this with other games.

Specs: 14900k, rtx4090,

Just here to chime in.

I bought the game on steam on friday and the random CTDs happened every 5-10 minutes without any error messages and no info in the event viewer.
I verified files, updated BIOS and did a DDU, but nothing worked so I decided to refund and wait until monday and play it on gamepass.

Started the game again on monday and have had much less crashes on gamepass, but they've become more frequent tonight.

So it has happened on both Steam and Xbox Gamepass for me.

i9-13900KF
4090
32GB RAM
Windows 11 Home

Hope this can give some more insight.

It seems either a memory leak or the game really hates 13/14th gen Intel... :p4g_frown:

Not sure if it'll help anyone else but the one thing I did not bother checking is actually going back to stock settings on my card and then testing a much more lower OC/UV than I originally had. It seems this game is very sensitive to OC for whatever reason, game working perfectly without crashing, silly me really. So if anyone else runs a OC and hasn't tinkered with that, maybe it'll help. This OC/UV worked for me in every single other title i've played so this game must be quite sensitive.

Ryzen 9 5900x, RX 6800xt, 32gb ram, Samsung nvme. Can't get past loading screen. Loaded into safe mode with AMD settings low as possible and I was able to make it to loading shaders to 99.9%. Not what I expected after what I'd heard of the game.

Played last weekend for about 7,5 hours with not a single crash.
Couldn't play during the week.
Launched the game today, crash after playing for a few seconds.
Launching the game again a few times, crashing everytime during the intro logos.

Launched again, could play for 40 minutes, crash again.
Now i am back to crashing at the intro logos.

Ryzen 7700x, Radeon 7900XT, 32 gb Ram.

Hey guys! I had the same issue. I have i7-14700KF and 4090 and it was suddenly crashing after a few minutes of play. Fixed it by turning off the Chromatic Aberration. I’m running the game on max settings and I had no crashes since then.

Ik have the same issue here. First time launch it didn't work at all. After restarting the game it worked for a while. The first time it just closed the game without warning after a 30 minutes. After that is closes at random sometimes its a 4 minutes at other times its a half hour. Only constant is that it does it after every game start. It's becoming quit annoying.

I update the bios to the latest version, removed the drivers completly and installed fresh. The rest of the systemdrivers are up to date.

I tried turning on resizeable bar in the bios and after that the computer completely froze. After turning that feature off again the computer doesn't freeze but it closes the game again whitout warning.

System: AMD ryzen 7 5700x, x570, RX6650XT, 32gb 3200mhz memory.
Running the steam version of the game

Just to chime in here, I was able to play for awhile on release and then after the first update constant crashing with an I9 14900 KF, 4090 and 64 GB RAM. I updated my Bios Z790 Rog Maximus Hero from 2301 to the newest 2801 but I could not even load the logos without crashing. Reverted back one update to 2703 and I was able to play for a good hour with no issues. Hope that helps some one with the same specs.

Hello again! Yes, I started having issues again after turning off Chrome Aberration. Yesterday I updated my BIOS and I had no crash since then. I hope this helps!

Same thing is happening for me. I've been able to play for 14 hours with just a few crashes, but now my game has hit a wall. I cannot progress any further, due to these instant crashes. I very much hope it is a general issue that is going to be sorted out, as I really, really enjoy the game and want to go on :)
