runnIng install script Gaming Repair PROGRAM

Played the game for about 3 hrs when it launched. Ran perfect. Took a break. Now it won't start. It's stuck at (running install script Gaming Repair PROGRAM)
Tried starting it in safe mode and have checked integrity of game files.

Edit to add specs:
Ryzen 7700
Nvidia 4070
32G DDR 6000
2TB M.2 NVME

How long did you let it run for? My situation is a little different than yours but when I first installed it, it ran for like 3 minutes and then the VC++ redistributable got installed after that. Maybe there was some update and it needs to run again?

I decided to check task manager to see if anything was eatin ram or cpu cycles. I found the Gaming Repair PROGRAM service and killed it. Game started right up. WTF!!!!!!!!?????????

Rename the GamingRepair.exe to whatever here: \Steam\steamapps\common\The Great Circle\GamingRepair or optionally just delete the entire GamingRepair folder. Seems to have worked for me.

I thought about doing that but chickened out. I will do it now.

That thing seems to be related to the XBox App for Windows.
Since I don't have that, i never noticed it.

Probably save to disable by renaming the program or the entire folder.

I usually don't recommend to delete stuff like that, cause that might cause issues with a future update. Probably won't but it might...
Easier to just rename it back if that happens then to get it re-installed. Worst case could be a complete fresh download and installation of the entire game. ;)

So I just removed the repair from gaming repair and all is well.

delete that folder in game install directory and game will launch but i would be def refunding just because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like this i got preorder for early access and only yesterday i found out how to get bypass this crap f em

it's seems the repair tools from the game have bug, you download and run it the version into this link and the game launch instantly

I had to download the Gaming repair tool from the link (and launch it as administrator, otherwise it didn't work ...)
But, please, it's 2025 we had to debug games we paid 70€ by ourselves now ? Stop the shi##y 3rd party launchers. I have an PC. Not a XBOX. I don't care about your useless launcher seriously ...

I change the name of Gamerepair.EXE to Gamerepair1.EXE solved the problem
