DLSS FPS Drop Workaround
UPDATE 12/12/24: The dev team is working to deploy a fix for this issue next week. Thank you for your patience!

--

If you're encountering an FPS drop when playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle with DLSS enabled, please try the following steps:

  • Select Graphics Options.
  • Switch from DLSS to TAA.
  • Switch back to DLSS.
  • Exit the menu. FPS will return to normal shortly after.

Nice. What a joke, but what else can we expect for a newly released game?

very true it is a massive joke when you do early access for a game but the game is so broken half the player base can't even enjoy more than 10 minutes without a crash, bravo truly.

At least the developer is responding to an issue, directly here. No need to be testy.

Or, make sure your game works on release.

how about Frame Gen? on a 4090 it now stutters like crazy if i simply open the menu and then go back to the game. It resolves after a few minutes.

name a triple A game that doesn't have issues at launch nowadays...

even rdr2 took like 4 months to run good and they took an extra year to make the pc version, sold way more and had way more money to develop

Game is totally broken on proton/linux. Lucky to get 6 FPS on a 4090.

I whipped the graphics card to increase the frame rate.

This happens when the texture pool size is set too high, filling up the VRAM and overflowing a lot to the shared video memory, and even causing the game to fail to boot, need to lower the "is_poolSize" value in the game configuration file, i think this game has issues with memory management which needs to be fixed and improved.

Game seems broken but not surprised considering this is a instant Game pass title.

Where is this config file ? I saw a mention of "R_LODSCALE 5" mentioned on the Digital Foundry Tech Review, I assume that is in this config file too?

You can change the size of the pool in the graphics section. Actually being able to set the pool size to your hardware is an advantage over a one size fits all solution.
