A Savage Discovery bug (Giuseppe)

I've collected all the notes for this, and been through the cutscene where you discover the dig site schedule. Relatively soon before this I wound up knocking out a few of the guards in the area which may or may not have had an effect.
When I headed down to Section F, Giuseppe isn't there (according to guides online he's meant to be)
Left and re-entered the area, allowed time to pass by doing other tasks elsewhere, tried fast travel, restarting the game, and revisiting the previous level then returning, but it seems he's not going to appear.

Going to move on and hope it's a bug that gets looked at later, but a bit disappointing I won't be able to finish this before moving on

He spawned above the cave thing hes supposed to be in for me, there is a whip climb point just to the side of the entrance. climbed up there and got up behind him and got a prompt to talk to him

was on here looking for answers myself 5 minutes ago and thought i better come back now that i found him

i cant store the key, i can look at it, hold it in my hand but then i am locked out of the game, icant do anything but restart a save and try again and hope the bug get fixed! super ♥♥♥♥. I am also stuck on the dig site where my companion doesnt seem to move to a trigger point! the game is very buggy and needs fixes.....

This happened to me. It turned out I beat him up along with the guards I guess. When I walked around the dig site, one of the body’s highlighted, and they had a key on them that advanced the quest.

This was what I needed!!! I must've killed him, even after completing almost everything else in the game, his body was still laying around, and I was able to recover the key. Thanks a ton!

I was hopeful that'd be it but unfortunately he's not there for me either, could've been on one of the bodies maybe but I couldn't find it at the time, and they're gone now

Are you sure the body is not there? i went back after completing all of the campaign and most of the other side missions and the body was still laying on the ground.

For me he wasn’t a body on the ground but an NPC standing at the ground floor level clipped inside another NPC. Once I beat both of them up I was able to loot him for the key

I couldn't find Giuseppe anywhere in the dig site, tried everything discussed here to no avail. Then I found a random guy carrying a pick axe standing in the marble staircase inside the Apostolic Palace. Thought that was a bit strange and as soon as I approached him I saw it was Giuseppe and when I clicked to interact with him I was immediately transported to the Cave in Site F.

I had been spotted on my way to finding him initially and was chased into that stairwell where I hid till things cooled off so I guess that is why he was stuck there?

I knocked out every NPC in the area before going to Section F, and Giuseppe wasn't there. After an hour of searching, I finally found him in the renovated church, so further away than others had found him.

I guess what's happening is knocking out guards will have other guards slowly start deviating from their original patrols, and Giuseppe might count as a guard. Just speculating, no certainty.

I am having a similar issue. Giuseppe is defeated, body on the ground highlighted. I am prompted to press X to pick up the cellar key from his body. Indiana Jones grabs the key and examines it. It gives a description of the key and says to press X to collect the cellar key. This is when the game locks. I do not collect the key and am left just holding the cellar key. I am able to rotate the key. I can not proceed and have to load my past checkpoint to unlock my game. Any suggestions? The quest seems to have triggered complete and my quest objective now reads "Find the Address." If I go to the address I need to cellar key to open the door.

Are there any console commands I can use to spawn myself the cellar key?

This bug was driving me mad. I searched the area like gazillion times, but couldn't find the body or any trace of that fella. That's some kind of find Waldo action.
Finally, some dude attacked me when I entered the construction zone of Sistine Chapel and that was our wild guy Giuseppe.

When you are in the search zone where the journal tells you to look for him and he is not there, just look at the map. It will show you his location. For me, he was in a completely different areal of the map.
