Are you one of those people who call everyone that disagree's with you a nazi?
Have you actually watched the old movies? Actual Nazis are the villains.

Indy has Jewish roots the same way Captain America has Jewish roots: not practicing Jews themselves, but they come from Jewish creators drawing from personal experiences and fantasies

Let me guess, you didn't watch the movies.

Eh? In the films Indiana Jones is a Scottish American and his political leanings are never really mentioned or explored, he only cares about unravelling mysteries, finding artefacts, and women. Also thinking that he couldn't be right-wing because muh Nazis are the right is stupid, the Nazis appeared in the 20th century, they aren't some eternal right that has existed since the dawn of time. Another reason it's a stupid take is that the terms right and left wing come from the French Revolution to describe one side that supported the King and another side that did not.

Except that no. Harrison Ford is half jewish himself and grew up surrounded by both the Catholic and Jewish faith. And the Indiana Jones movies were created by two jewish guys. So it's not a stretch to say that he his literally jewish, even if only partially.

Except the character isn't, as his created parentage and background only tells us that he's Scottish American. This is like saying Conan is Austrian because Arnold played him when we already know that Conan is a Cimmerian and Cimmerians are proto Gaels.

First of all, Indy allies with African pirates in the 1930s: well before segregation ended in the US. American right-wingers in the 1930s were virulently racist, period. Not to mention, how many right-wingers nowadays do you think would be interested in being friends with Somali pirates? There's definitely an argument from his actions and his friendships that Indy is left-leaning. Most academics are, and that's not a new thing: having an academic open mind leads to having a socially open mind.

Is any of this explicit? No. It doesn't have to be, in order to be applicable.

Technically the roots of Nazism were much deeper than just the 20th century. Jules Verne basically wrote about proto-Nazi ideology in "The Begum's Millions" from 1879. There's a fine argument that the roots of fascism go as deep as the modern period.

It's made extremly obvious in the movies that he doesn't like the nazis nor is he portrayed as right wind. His entire character and behaviour is the complete opposite of a right winger. And since Harrison and the movies creators are extremly liberal, it's pretty much impossible to even assume that there would ever be any room for his chacter to be a right winger.

And? The British allied with African slaves in American and offered freedom to African slaves that fought with them against the colonials in the revolutionary war and against the US in the war of 1812, that doesn't make them Left-wing.

And no Nazism is absolutely something that appeared in the 20th century, influenced by Italian Fascism which was also popular with Jewish people and didn't discriminate against them, one of the prominent minds behind Fascism was a Jewish woman that helped Mussolini take power. The Nazis ended up pressuring Italian Fascists into adopting their views however and the Jewish Fascists were betrayed.

Well seeing as you're another "the right is Nazism" any further discussion is pointless.
WW2 must have just been a big ol Nazi civil war to you.

I am not another "the right is Nazis". However, take a look at all the people complaining that this game is "woke" and their arguments and then tell me again they are not extremly racist and backwater.

Aside from that, to claim Indiana Jones was not an anti Nazi movie/franchise is extremly delusional.

Most people complaining about "woke" things are authoritarian because they simply can't handle fictional media to feature non conservative/right wing content or view points. They love to complain but I've yet to see them actually make their own game based on their ideals. But if course then they'd have no content to hate in so what's the point in that.

Nobody said he wasn't anti Nazi, the claims being made that he couldn't be right, right leaning, or somewhat conservative himself because he fought Nazis are silly. Winston Churchill hated Nazis and he was absolutely right wing. The films weren't even political or left wing to begin with, even though they were made by a Jewish man they never even went into Nazi atrocities, the Nazis in the Indy films are the equivalent of Skeletor in He-Man.

And i mean Indy by the standards of today's left is "muh Nazi colonial oppressor" because he's a Cis White man stealing artefacts from "PoC" nations to put in Western museums lol

Just curious, if some Muslims broke into the White House or some other important American landmark and stole artefacts from there to display in the Middle east or Saudi Arabia, would you be fine with it?

I have zero issues with the movies depicting such things, they are fiction and about adventures. It comes with the territory within that genre.

But you can't lie to me about right wingers not throwing a fit if the case was reversed. They'd go nuts. So enough with this two faced bs.

Here's the problem with that scenario, it implies that Muslims can't be right wing and are inherently not, even though they are probably the most conservative group on the planet. And that right wing is exclusive to Westerners. But to answer the question i think anyone regardless of political bent would be annoyed by someone yoinking their ancient cultural artefacts.
