💟When Harrison Ford dies should a woman be given a chance?

Harrison is old. Eventually he will pass away and the franchise will be left without a actor. Is it really necessary that the new main protagonist in the Indiana Jones franchise must be a male actor? There are lots of other possibilities.

How would you guys feel if a female actor were given a chance?

Indiana Jones is a man. Tired of this trend that people think we should start replacing these franchises with female or gender swapping. Just make a new franchise. I don't agree with a lot of actresses but Jennifer Ortega said that she wasn't interested in a female James Bond. She says just make new IP's with women.

Before all this modern feminism movement, there have been women lead in movies that people didn't bat an eye.

If I am playing Indiana Jones, I expect to play as Indiana Jones, not his son, not some woman, but Indiana Jones. I would say most of the fanbase would agree.

They should just create some new characters and stop being intellectually and creatively lazy. All you see these days is the destruction of old franchies with lame girl boss character or other token characters. It should be about time this newer generation created something original instead of staying in taht safe space bubble so they can stroke eachothers ego as they claim to be the first at everything that has already been done.

This new generation of writers are totally bankrupt on ideas and those that have some good ideas are activly being worked against.

What I liked was Black Panther, for example - the story was in Africa, heroes were Africans and the movie was pretty good.

Those remasters and remakes are the only thing keeping those companies alive, that's how bankrupt they are creativly. Theyare now more bust selling how diverse they are while butchering most of those remaster and remakes with censorship and completely rewritten dialogue.

In general i never liked the Marvel movies for the most part, they all started to get that cringe humor that Thor Love and thunder had, which is a big turn off.

Rewritting histoy i'm pretty much beyond sick and tired off, Gladiator 2 was garbage and Napoleon was even more lying garbage. I'm a history buff so i want things to be accurate.
I also want some vorm of believability in the gaming world or fantasy world instead of a Mary sue or Gary stu.

I have no problem with anything, but if I would be tasked, I would take the "Young Indiana Jones" series route or the flashback in The Last Crusade, where you can make a soft reboot with a younger actor taking over and the audience getting used to a new Indiana Jones face by making Harrison Ford recount the story and make the connection, so it is a softer blow.

Marion Ravenwood was the best part of that movie. It was so awesome to see her back.

There is always the old Relic Hunter tv series. That was kind of similar. (I'm not sure how well it'd hold up today)

Back in the 90s there was already some "young Indiana Jones" Stuff plus, we might see them get a new actor into the role, they did this in Star Trek for example and it worked.
