Why First Person?

One for the greatest if not THE greatest ever RPG is Witcher 3. Unreal Engine and third person. If they made this game like that it would've been great, but first person I don't find great in an RPG, only maybe a shooter it can work. I think third person is way more immersive i good RPG. First person RPG loses customers.

Its not nearly the same type of game, plus its good almost no games copy witcher 3 cause that game is boring af

Because the game was designed from the 1st from, imagine that you're is Indy. And enjoy good perfomance.
Hate Witcher 3 - this is overhyped game. Just powerful marketing, no more. My personal opinion.

I am looking forward to Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which will be 1st person, too. I think that if a game is less focussed on (melee) combat but more on exploration, stealth and puzzles it is actually better to play in the 1st person mode.

The game is not an RPG..

And even in rpgs, first person works well if the game is well designed for it.

and I think Indiana Jones in 1st person is truly Indiana Jones. This is neither an RPG nor the Witcher series. And I also think more than a million would agree with me.
Jokes aside, I like 3rd person games, but for this one I understand why they went with 1st person.

Because FPS are easier to make.

They dont have to worry about camera collision, animations, interactions etc.
