Can you skip cutscenes?
Been playing for a couple of hours at this point and still couldn't figure a way to skip cutscenes. Is it really impossible? That's certainly highly unusual for a game released in 2024. I get that you wanna show off those 4+ hours of cutscenes you announced in the media but unskippable cutscenes are seriously going to hurt the replayability of this game.

You have to play through the game once. On your 2nd playthrough you can skip

Are you one of those people who skips cutscenes in story heavy games, or just tired of seeing them after reloading?

If you're not going to autosave after a 10 minute cutscene, yes I will get annoyed at having to watch a cutscene twice.

I'm using a controller, have not finished the game, and I was somehow able to get a "skip" prompt during the on-the-boat cutscenes going to the snow region. Don't ask me how. It was playing, I probably hit one of the buttons out of random idleness (ps4-circle? triangle? dunno?) and a "SKIP/hit square" just popped up in a corner.

So it seems there is a way - or at least that certain cutscenes - like chapt ends - may give you the opportunity.
No clue tho. I haven't made an effort to purposely skip them since first launch, It just happened. *clueless-shoulder-shrug-icon*

Press space and you'll get a prompt to skip. Not sure if there's anything similar on controller.

You mean one of those people with obligations and responsibilities who can only squeeze in short bursts of gaming? Not being able to skip cutscenes is disrespectful of my time. Me buying a game and essentially not being able to actually play the game when I want is disrespectful to me as a consumer.

this argument is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb, people now are judged for playing games normally, games are made for gameplay theyre not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ movie, so yes you should be able to skip cutscenes even in story heavy games, i completed rdr2 without watching a single cutscene and its one of my best games all time, cuz it has other enjoyable elements,
watching cutscenes is just boring
