Nah DLSS causes wild amounts of noise and broken AA, switching it to TAA is a night and day difference in image quality.

I use it in DLAA mode. look good thus far.

I thought I was crazy. I have been trying to figure that out for an hour. With max everything both DLSS and DLAA seem super grainy and noisy. Everything has like some sort of static snowy film grain bs, independent of the actual film grain setting.

I'm sitting at 125fps DLAA 175 fps DLSS and 120fps TAA but I guess I am using TAA

Nvidia sponsored title where the Nvidia features don't even work

Not everyone has a 4090

From what I noticed is if you use HDR with DLSS on this game it is what causes the noise for me.

Interesting, Jedi Survivor had similar issues

No problem for me with either DLSS or frame generation. I have DLSS set to DLAA and I'm not using frame gen but I tried it and uncapped frame rates went from around 120 to well over 200 fps.

I've read in a similar thread that there might be an issue with HDR.
For another game people suggested to disable in game HDR and use nVidia HDR through the driver settings. No idea if that helps. In any case, you should probably never use both at the same time...

Thank you! This fixed it; the noisy grain was killing me. Switched to SDR and DLAA works nicely now.\
//edit and so does DLSS, which knocked power draw down by 150+ watts.

No, both DLSS and Frame Gen are not broken. Set up the game to use video memory correctly, for example, start with “Texture pool size” setting to low. If you use Frame Gen, you will need to squeeze even more in the graphics settings, because Frame Gen uses the video memory as its buffer. I would say that if you have an 8GB graphics card, you cannot use a value higher than low to set the “Texture pool size”.

FG is broken. DLSS isn't. That said, DLAA makes fine details while moving look MUCH better in this game. I'd recommend capping at 60 (or whichever framerate you can constantly maintain) and running DLAA vs. high framerate + DLSS, at least for now.
