Next, someone will ask if there's LGBTQ representation, and this thread will explode with 8 pages of uncomfortable/homophobic responses LMAO
And why does the fear of spiders take precedence over other people's fears? That's all I'm saying. Do we need accessibility options for ALL phobias in games? We can't expect devs to do this. Games will never release if they do LOL
You act like it's that difficult and time consuming to add accessibility. If developers want more people to buy their games then maybe they should consider adding it
I am scared of spiders too yet I know that this is just a game...... Have you tried the approach of telling that to yourself everytime you see one?
You clearly aren't a game developer that understands the time and effort it takes to add tons of pointless accessibility options to a game. Again, to my point... why does the fear of spiders take precedence over ALL OTHER fears? Should developers cater to every single fear and add these options for... fear of spiders, snakes, heights, water, clowns, darkness, insects, and all other phobia's people complain about.
Research games before you buy them. If there's something in the game that you struggle with because you can't differentiate reality VS a video game... then play something else. I have a crippling fear of snakes. I hate them. I see a REAL snake... I run. I see a snake in a video game... I'm fine. Why? Because it's a VIDEO GAME, and the snake isn't REAL LMAO
I've played the whole game with while streaming on discord to some friends. There is no arachnophobia mode One of whom has Arachnophobia. the opening scene got her but it's the same scene you see in the movie. Later on if scorpions get you then you're going to have a bad time, for my friend scorpions don't bother them so it was a non issue. But outside of that there is one late game dungeon with a lot of spider webs and some particles that fall that I think are supposed to be spiders but they aren't really visible and they don't come after you or interact with you.
I'm glad there is way less spider I imagine and if the intro is a remake of the Raiders cold open then I wont be caught off guard. Im usually ok with scorpions so should be ok as well.
But I'm still confused about the part I saw in the trailer i initially mentionned in my OP. The one with the spider that crawl upon your arm after you put it in a door mechanism inside a wall ? It doesn't seem to fit with the Raiders intro part or the dungeaon you're mentionning
Thanks !
Yeah yeah, I know, no one's tough any more, something something pansy liberals, etc; I get it. But I can't help but wonder, what's the point in going out of your way to make someone feel like a jerk simply for asking a question?
If there's any more spiders, they're at least incidental and barely noticeable in a few scenes. (Since I wasn't on the lookout for them I obviously can't say for certain.)
There's a few crawl spaces if I recall that might have spiderwebs but at least as far as I recall, no actual spiders are shown. (You just burn the webs so you can proceed through those crawlspaces.)
