Might be time to upgrade to at least a rx 6750xt. Amazon has them for $300 before they go bye bye for good. Or just pony up and go for a 7800xt or 7900gre but you may need to upgrade other things in your system at that point.

Yes, you do.

It has ray traced GI by default. Go look at a video of it running on Steam Deck, it's completely broken because RTX is required.

I just purchased a ryzen 5500, and new mobo, would those cards pair ok with that?

Not working on my 5700XT, only 4 years old and perfectly playing everything in 1440p.

The Steam Deck is RDNA 2.0: it is RT-enabled hardware.[www.techpowerup.com] If it won't run, or doesn't run well on Steam Deck it'll be for another reason (low performance probably.)

A 6750xt would be a good fit for a 5500 especially for 1080p although I would go with a 7700XT if you can afford a little extra which has better ray tracing performance plus it has AI Cores which currently aren't being used but I suspect the next major revision of FSR will use them and provide better upscaling like DLSS and XeSS does. Sony is already doing it with the PS5 Pro.
