Performance problems on RTX 4070
Hi. I bought myself a new gaming laptop 3 days ago, and this wonderful game came with it. That says to me it should be able to run the game. I`m running on low settings and still have problems with the framrate, and most of all: annoying artifacts/glitches in cutscenes.

The game is right up my alley and seems to be great, just want to play it without these problems.

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS 3.10 GHz
RAM 24,0 GB
RTX 4070¨

Is it too weak or can we expect a patch fixing this?

Thank you.

Are you using latest Nvidia driver (566.36) released today?

4K max settings
No upscaling or resulution scale
30 FPS
60 FPS with DLSS magic

i7-12700F
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 WindForce 3 OC
64 GB ram

I would think you could run it ok at lowered settings if your drivers and system are working good. What resolution are you running it at? If you're at 2160p or 1440p then drop it down to 1080p.

Also you can try DLSS and frame gen both on and off. In my case it runs much smoother with both off, granted I've got it capped at 120fps as I don't need more in this sort of game running at 4k/supreme or whatever it's called max settings.

The 4070 you have is the mobile version (laptop) and it has the same performance as a 2060 super, 2070 or 3060 12GB.

You just barely pass the lowest settings by their sys req chart, meaning that you should play this game only at 1080p resolution and no more than medium settings on textures.

Wait for day one patch when the game launches and hope for a fix. As of right now you are just a beta tester for buying an early access game.

4070 LAPTOP is only 4070 in name, it's barely as powerful as a 4060 DESKTOP

I'm also getting artifacting in cutscenes, runs fine otherwise.

The limiting factor for you in this title is Vram. There are reports that a 3080 is struggling at 1080p even at high preset becoz of 10gb of vram. Turn down textures to medium for 8gb cards. Its a shame to be crippled by vram. And laptop always ship with lower vram than their desktop counterparts. Nvidia has been poor with its products in this aspect.

CPU is very weak and, as they said above, the mobile 4070 is nowhere near a real 4070. They might patch some glitches but I wouldn't expect much more performance.

Thanks a bunch! Running at 1080p. It runs well with DLSS enabled, still get the artifacts though.

Thats too bad to hear. Don`t know much about computers. Did some research, talked with friends and still paid quite a bit for this laotop. I´ll try to do better next time I guess. Thanks!

Should be similar as a 12400F, which given the GPU its paired with shouldn't cause it to be a bottleneck. However, raytracing isnt really viable in anything below a 4080, so the fact they put this in mandatory just means its yet another tech demo for Nvidia.
