Ultrawide (21:9) / Super ultrawide (32:9) but...
Hi Just to say that the game runs in ultrawide on launch, but for 32:9 users a little bit zoom in during cutscenes. During gameplay you can adjust the FOV in the settings with a cursor in options.
Here the first hour (in french)

Edit : If we open tickets on this topic, maybe this will be fixed. I opened one for myself and I'm also going to try via Twitter / X

I really think about a refund because of that. The cutscenes are important and transport the most part of the story. In 32 by 9 the heads are often not completely in the picture. It would be a better solutiuon, to show the cutscenes in 16 by 9 instead of zooming in.

Yes FOV in cutscenes with 32:9 is wrong.

There are something like around 4 hours of cutscenes in all the game, so yes it’s important and I am totaly agree with you

Ah, that explains why every so often, someone's head is juuuuuuust a little chopped for me. Got a 21:9 monitor. Here's hoping the day 1 patch on Sunday fixes it

I did try the console command "g_fov xxx" but it only set the gameplay fov not the cutscene.
This is very annoying. I can confirm that all cut scenes are cut off in awkward ways resulting in a loss of immersion. Perhaps the day 1 patch fixes this as there are no in game settings that have fixed this.

Thanks for this. You saved me from a bad purchase. It's so weird that the game would have the correct FOV but cutscenes would have a separate hard-coded FOV. Seems like a major QA oversight... so hopefully it's quickly fixed.

I also play on a Samsung G9 in 32:9. I'm also bothered by the fact that I can't change the FOV in the cutscenes. I hope that gets fixed. Until then, I'll return the game.

Hi,

So for 21:9 users, cutscenes are already in 21:9?

No, the bad crop is just less noticeable, i.e. a shot might cut out Indy's hair instead of fitting properly.

Cutscenes are in 21:9 when set to cinematic, 32:9 is -vert. I'm on a g9, been playing in cinematic mode, not as glorious as 32:9 but the cutscene transitions are a major part of the game. Hopefully one of the ultrawide modders will make a fix when the game fully releases.
