So the saves will be gonme and you can start from the beginning again.
Remember this is a Bethesda title.
I just tried this and still have the same problem.
This error is due to insufficient video memory. While you have black screen in game, you should have an error under the game window. I had the same one after upgrading Nvidia drivers. Before that, I was able to play at ultra settings having 8GB card, but the drivers changed something, and the game started to rebel against too much memory usage and not turn at all. Removing saved settings was to reset video settings to default and lower, to allow the game to run. If this doesn't help, it seems that you may have insufficient hardware for the game.
You can also check if you have updated Nvidia drivers to the latest ones that include optimization for this game, and if you do, try to install previous version, out of curiosity if it would work. As I mentioned, before those drivers I was able to play at any settings, no matter the memory, having 8GB card.
also i reinstalled the game to my other drive which has more space
Path: C:\Users\(User Name)\Saved Games\MachineGames - Delete it.
Tried this, and still have the same issues
I had the same problem and its down to GPU power. I have a RTX 3070 a card which to be fair has aloud me to play every game I have bought the past two years at high to ultra settings at 60FPS or over. The RTX 3070 does not cut it for this game and I mean does not cut it. I can play it but everything has to be set to low, so it looks like a game that came out 5 or more years ago. Needless to say its time for me to start saving for a new GPU!
All the best
you must be using dlss, delete save files completely and start game, and play without dlss, it will work! i wasted a day because of this!
if you turn dlss by any chance and quit game, same problem occur for you again!
or wait for nvidia update, its totally dlss issue
I don't think you can rely on my case.
