Anyone noticing a stuttering issue?
I have a pretty beefy machine, and have been having stuttering problems in Silent Hill 2 (from what I understood the game is just kinda busted and doesn't run well) but noticing the same problem in this game. Random fps drops constantly for a split second causing stuttering. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else or maybe something is wrong with my machine.

Anyone else getting cutscene stuttering and music dropping in and out during gameplay?

Updating to latest dlss and dlssg didn't seem to help. I did the FG toggle and it fixed it but it seems like when I toggle FG stays off since my frames go back to 90s instead of the 117 max on a 4090. Basically turning off FG fixed it for me and now it's playable.

Also, leaving it off means it will survive a game restart. With the FG toggle (back to on) everytime restarted the game the stutters came back. With it off it is permanent which seems to me what the toggling is doing anyways. Hope they can fix this.

Not sure what changed today but game is running like ass all of a sudden. Stuttering and major frame drops out of nowhere. Did my usual toggle FG off and on and that didn’t fix it. Having FG off still stuttering like hell. Was fine yesterday but is literally unplayable today

same,i am getting autosave stutter aswell,it autosaves way too often, the little hat icon and a stutter! i wish developers would do away with this bloody feature and just use f5 to quicksave at the users discretion. its annoying and the jolt breaks immersion. It was like it for cyberpunk autosave aswell but someone put a .ini edit fix out there which disabled autosave so it was upto the user when he/she wanted to save with a quick save or menu save.I dont think it can be done with this game though because the way it saves game is different,if the developers cant/wont sort it out i hope someone comes up with a fix ??

I also experience minor stutters/hitches when the game autosaves; otherwise, it performs smoothly as butter.

I have the same stuttering issue with frame-gen (FG) on, where every couple seconds the frames go in the toilet for a split second. I'm on a high end PC with 4090 and 7800x3D, gamepass version of the game. Tried everything, toggling off and on FG, HDR, windows mode, turning off and on my TV etc, nothing helps. Turning off FG fixes it but then FPS can sometimes dip bellow 60 with every setting to max, including full RT.

Also, the weird hickups on every camera cut during cutscenes are mighty annoying.

Contrary to what Digital Foundry says, i don't think this game is in a good technical state right now.

Hope they release a fix pronto...

I had the same thing and fixed it. Literally just.... turned my monitor off and back on again while in game. Don't know why, but I'm not complaining. ZERO stutters since, and it's been hours.

Turn your monitor off while in game. Fixed for me. Using DLSS, Ray Tracing and it's all good

There definitely seems to be an issue with Frame-gen with this game. Over time I'll sometimes get up to a 50% drop in fps, if I toggle Frame-gen off and back on then fps will immediately shoot back up.

Found out the stuttering was caused by using the 'ultrawide' setting on my 32:9 screen. Limiting width caused stutters. Weird.

Also noticed how frame gen only improved framerate by 10-20%, with my gpu being utilized by only 60% sometimes (rtx 4080)

Definitely weird.

Is it all cutscenes so far or certain cutscenes?

There's a frametime issue with the game and NVIDIA's latest driver, roll back and it will actually run a bit smoother.

NVIDIA's game ready driver, ironically is the cause of the stutters.

79503DX and an RTX3090, GameReady drivers - does feel weird for sure.
I have exactly the same problem, with a Ryzen 5 5600 and a RX 6750 XT

People are starting to learn that buying a good GPU doesn't mean flawless performance. You'r'e always going to be limited by the engine.
