Anyone noticing a stuttering issue?
I have a pretty beefy machine, and have been having stuttering problems in Silent Hill 2 (from what I understood the game is just kinda busted and doesn't run well) but noticing the same problem in this game. Random fps drops constantly for a split second causing stuttering. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else or maybe something is wrong with my machine.

Heavy stuttering using a 4090 with up-to date Nvidia drivers 566.36, it is unplayable.

Motion didn't feel smooth on my 4080 super at 60fps until I switched vsync to triple buffering in game.

Did you try toggling FRAMEGEN off then on again? Worked instantly for me.

Setting vsync to triple buffering seems to have fixed it for me. It's suddenly butter smooth now. Before it stuttered like crazy

Turning off Frame Generation was an immediate fix for me as well.
Runs very smoothly now.

Those arent stutters, those are inteionally programmed memory overflows with no fallback. Hence the constant frame rate, even if you change any other settings besides texture pool. Nothing else matters, because this game is abhorrent and exactly the type of game you DONT want on pc.

I am getting auto save stuttering, not sure if there is any way to resolve that though.

same,i am getting autosave stutter aswell,it autosaves way too often, the little hat icon and a stutter! i wish developers would do away with this bloody feature and just use f5 to quicksave at the users discretion. its annoying and the jolt breaks immersion. It was like it for cyberpunk autosave aswell but someone put a .ini edit fix out there which disabled autosave so it was upto the user when he/she wanted to save with a quick save or menu save.I dont think it can be done with this game though because the way it saves game is different,if the developers cant/wont sort it out i hope someone comes up with a fix ??

It felt odd to me. Was getting around 80 FPS, but did not feel smooth. I capped the game in Nvidia Control panel to 68 FPS, and then enabled frame gen. No tearing and completely smooth.

(Game Pass version) I get this most of the time, if DLSS and Frame Gen are used. If I turn DLSS off and on, the stutter goes away. Frame Gen then works (eg 2560x1440 DLAA running ~250 fps on my 4080 Super)

Yeah just turn texture pool one notch to the left until you jump 60-90fps. No joke. (The game is though)

I turned DLSS completely off and all stutters are gone.

I found out my stuttering was being caused by using an Xbox controller, both wireless and wired. Using M+K I now have smooth game play, no idea why, but worth a try.

100% wrong. What I did was change botderless to windows and back then change fg to off and on and all stuttering stopped

100% right for me, don't presume you know what effects everyone else's machine
