Dlss - picture quality
Is it me or even in DLAA it looks terrible compared to TAA?

I prefer the first "toggle" of DLSS in the settings compared to TAA personally. Could just be me.

There is some shimmering with any DLSS enabled, any quality including DLAA.

Yeah, getting the same, and this after updating drivers to latest earlier today.

I assume it'll be fixed in the full RT patch at launch, but for now I had to go w/o DLSS as it's pretty distracting on some stuff.

Quality for DLSS looked absolutely horrible, I had to turn it off

cant say that... everything looks fine here

Can confirm DLSS is jacked up for me. I have 9800x3d and 4080, playing on a LG C2 OLED. It makes a bunch of surfaces grainy and shimmery. Soon as I turned it off it looks great. You can leave Frame Gen on as well without DLSS, which I didn't even realize.

Have you updated the dlss version to 3.8.10.0 ? It's considered to be the latest greatest dlss version. DLSS Swapper is how you do it.....

interesting, i have not updated dlss, but i'll look into that

can confirm, was running DLAA / max settings and both indie's jacket and more notable, his companion in the temple had a lot of flickering / noise in their textures going on. TAA fixed it

Yeah, exact same problem on 7800x3d and 3090.

Not having a issue myself. 285k/4090/8800. RTX HDR made all the books and other images on desk very grainy

very weird now that i've tinkered around some, DLSS makes stuff grainy and weird, and Frame Gen makes the gameplay smoother but makes the cutscenes stuttery. This is all on a brand new rig too I just got this 9800x3d and new mobo last night. Fortunately the game is very well optimized without any of that. But maybe some of it will change on official release day.

Yes, but it doesn't provide any FPS boost, at least on my end. (R7 9700X, 4080S)

4070 Ti Super, DLSS set to DLAA, frame gen is off. I didn't notice any shimmering at all.

It's too grainy and shimmery for me.
