Is there anyone else who still hasn't unlocked the achievement? I've followed all the guides, taken all the photos, but it still hasn't popped. I really don't want to replay the game or collect everything again.

Bugged. The developers added 2 more books with patch 4. You can find one of the two in the Vatican digsite. At one of the doors. The second book wont spawn in on old saves.. We need to wait for a patch or start over..

Do you still have an icon for a note in the Vatican? I had that problem and needed to take a photo of the crucified Jesus puzzle which I hadn't done during the story.

I have 3 icons in Sukhothai — 1 photo and 2 notes. I'm only missing 2 items in total, so it seems like my save got bugged. I guess I’ll have to replay everything from scratch. The devs really could’ve done something about this… it’s been three months.

Best option is to return to all puzzles where you can take hint photos (like at the Fountain of Confession in Vatican City, or the Chamber of Resonance in Gizeh) - and take them all. For a lot players this was somehow solving the bug.

I was "missing" Annikas Note, although it had registered. After taking all hint photos and completing the game I got the Archivist achievement and the missing note in Sukhothai was finally listed as collected (although the field notes marker was still on the map). This however was before patch 4 with those 2 new books. The new books themselves seem to be bugged, since most players were able to find the one at the Vatican Excavation Site, but not the one at the Fountain of Confession.
